Hubungan Self Efficacy Dengan Kecurangan Akademik Pada Siswa Madrasah Aliyah Islamiyah Sunggal

Abstract

The research was purposed to find out the effect between self efficacy to academic cheating, while student of Madrasah Aliyah Islamiyah Sunggal as a research object. Based on theoretical study which is in chapter II, then proposed research hypothesis that mentions : Found negative relationship of self efficacy to academic cheating conducted by students. The higher self efficacy that students have, the lower academic cheating happens and vice versa lower self efficacy that students have, the higher academic cheating happens. Analysis method used in this research is Product Moment Correlation, then obtained the following results: 1). There is a negative relationship between self efficacy and academic cheating, Rxy = -0.624 with significant p = 0.000 <0.050. It means that the lower the self efficacy the higher the academic cheating. 2). That self efficacy contributes effectively to academic cheating by 38.9%. It means that there are still 61.1% more other factors that affect academic cheating, including: forgot to do the task, too often absent, and do not understand the material explanation from the teacher. 3). The students' self efficacy is moderate, because the mean empiric (89,372) difference with the hypothetical average value (93.00) exceeds the number of SD or SB, is (24,178). Then for academic cheating is moderate, because the average value of empiric (204,117) the difference of hypothetical average hypothesis (188) exceeds SD or SB it (30,446)
