Hubungan Persepsi Terhadap Iklim Kelas Dengan Motivasi Belajar Siswa Kelas X SMA Negeri 10 Medan

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship of perceptions to the classroom climate with the motivation to learn class X students SMA Negeri 10 Medan. The method used in this research is quantitative research method. Subjects in this study were the students of class X in SMA Negeri 10 Medan. The population in this study amounted to 102 students, using random sampling technique so that the number of samples of the study of 59 students. Reliability scale of perception to climate class with value rbt = 0,859 and reliability of learning motivation scale rbt = 0,916. Data analysis technique used is Product Moment correlation technique using SPSS 18.0. The results of the analysis revealed that there is a significant positive relationship between perceptions of the classroom climate with learning motivation. This result is proved by correlation coefficient rxy = 0,636; Sig <0.010. Other results obtained in this study is the perception of the classroom climate influence 40.4% of learning motivation and it is known that there is still 59.6% influence from other factors. It is also known that the subjects in this study, ie students have perceptions of positive class climate, because the hypothetical value obtained for (87.00) is smaller than the empirical mean(120.00) and the difference exceeds the SD number (33.00). Similarly, the motivation to learn, where the subject of this study is expressed to have high learningmotivation due to the mean hypothetical value of (82.00) smaller than the empirical mean (116.61) and the difference exceeds the number of SD (14.987).Based on the results of this study, the proposed hypothesis is accepted
