Title: Pertumbuhan dan Produksi Semangka Merah (Citrullus vulgaris, Scard) pada Berbagai Dosis Pupuk Organik Cair dan Berbagai MAcam Mulsa

Abstract: The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of liquid organic fertilizer and the effect of using various kinds of mulch on the growth and yield of red watermelon. This research was conducted community-owned agricultural. Jl. Swadaya, Desa Sidodadi, Kecamatan Batang Kuis, Kabupaten Deli Serdang, Provinsi Sumatera Utara. The study was conducted in August 2015 to October 2015. This research consisted of 2 replicates with 16 combined treatment with the number 32 research plots. Research using randomized block design factorial consisting of two treatment factors, namely, the first dose of a liquid organic fertilizer (P) consisting of 4 levels of treatment, P0 = without fertilizer, P1 = fertilizer 3 cc / l of water, P2 = dosages 6 cc / l of water, fertilizer dosage P3 = 9 cc / l of water. The second factor is a wide variety of mulch (M) consisting of 4 levels of treatment, M0 = without mulch, M1 = straw mulch, M2 = hyacinth mulch, M3 = black silver plastic mulch. The results showed that the liquid organic fertilizer very significant effect on the parameter Sample Weight of Fruit Crops, Fruit Crops Weight Per Plot, and fruit diameter, and significantly different for flowering age parameter, but not significantly different in the length parameter plant. The treatment of various kinds of mulch very significant effect on the parameters Age Flowering, Fruit Crops Sample Weight and Weight Fruit Plant Per plot, but not significantly different at length parameter Plants and Fruit Diameter. The combination of the liquid organic fertilizer and various mulches , very significant effect on Weight Fruit Plant samples , significantly different at Fruit Plant Weight Per plot , but not significantly different at Plant Long , Age Flowering and Fruit Diameter .
Description: Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian pupuk organik cair dan pengaruh penggunaan berbagai macam mulsa terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman semangka merah. Penelitian ini dilakukan dilahan pertanian milik masyarakat Jl. Swadaya, Desa Sidodadi, Kecamatan Batang Kuis, Kabupaten Deli Serdang, Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Agustus 2015 sampai dengan Oktober 2015. Penelitian ini terdiri dari 2 ulangan dengan 16 kombinasi perlakuan dengan jumlah 32 plot penelitian. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok faktorial yang terdiri dari dua faktor perlakuan yaitu, faktor pertama dosis pupuk organik cair (P) yang terdiri dari 4 taraf perlakuan, P0 = tanpa pupuk, P1 = dosis pupuk 3 cc/l air, P2 = dosis pupuk 6 cc/l air, P3 = dosis pupuk 9 cc/l air. Faktor kedua berbagai macam mulsa (M) yang terdiri dari 4 taraf perlakuan, M0 = tanpa mulsa, M1 = mulsa jerami, M2 = mulsa eceng gondok, M3 = mulsa plastik hitam perak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian pupuk organik cair berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap Bobot Buah Tanaman Sampel, Bobot Buah Tanaman Per Plot, dan Diameter Buah, dan berbeda nyata terhadap Umur Berbunga, tetapi tidak berbeda nyata pada Panjang Tanaman. Perlakuan berbagai macam mulsa berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap Umur Berbunga, Bobot Buah Tanaman Sampel, dan Bobot Buah Tanaman Per Plot, tetapi tidak berbeda nyata pada Panjang Tanaman, dan Diameter Buah. Kombinasi pemberian pupuk organik cair dan berbagai macam mulsa, berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap Bobot Buah Tanaman Sampel, berbeda nyata pada Bobot Buah Tanaman Per Plot, tetapi tidak berbeda nyata pada Panjang Tanaman, Umur Berbunga, dan Diameter Buah.
