Abstract: Fendy Setiawan. Inventory of Pests and Disease in Various Cultivars Potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) In Plain Medium With And Without Shade to a supervisor I Ir. Azwana, MP. and supervising II Ir. Rizal Aziz, MP. The study was conducted in the village of Stone Mbelin, district. Sibolangit, Deli Serdang district with a height of 300 meters above sea level (asl), starting in May to September 2015. The study aims to determine the type, population and the intensity of pests and diseases that attack potato crops grown in the plains medium with and without shade. Research using Split Plot Designs with two factors, namely the Main plot factor (shade and without shade) and sub plot factors (potato cultivars Granola, Atlantic, Repita, Maglia and Amabel) with three replications. The results showed that the use of shade and without shade on different cultivars of potato plants tested did not significantly affect the type, population and intensity of pests and diseases that attack potato crops. Pest that attacks potato plants were tested on the medium plain only armyworm (Spodoptera litura F.) While the disease is dominated by the bacterial wilt (Ralstonia solanacearum) and followed blight (Phythophthora infestans).
