Abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan motivasi belajar dengan prestasi belajar pada siswa SMA Swasta Tamansiswa Pematangsiantar. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif korelasional. Populasi penelitian sebanyak 80 siswa-siswi kelas XI dan XII. Sampel penelitian yaitu siswa-siswi kelas XI dan XII yang tidak memiliki prestasi apapun baik prestasi dibidang akademik maupun non-akademik selama SMA sebanyak 80 sampel. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling. Alat ukur yang digunakan yaitu skala motivasi belajar dan dokumentasi nilai raport siswa. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik product moment. Dilihat dari nilai koefisien memiliki nilai 0,669 dengan p atau signifikansinya 0,000 < 0,050, yang artinya ada hubungan positif yang sejalan antara motivasi belajar dengan prestasi belajar siswa yaitu semakin tinggi motivasi belajar maka semakin tinggi prestasi belajar begitu pula sebaliknya. Koefisien determinan memiliki nilai 0,447 yaitu setara dengan 44,7%. Yang artinya motivasi belajar mempengaruhi prestasi belajar sebanyak 44,7%. This research aims to determine the relationship between learning motivation and learning achievement in Tamansiswa Pematangsiantar Private High School students. The research method uses quantitative correlational methods. The research population was 80 students in class XI and XII. The research sample was 80 students in class XI and The sampling technique uses purposive sampling. The measuring instruments used are the learning motivation scale and documentation of student report cards. The data analysis technique uses the product moment technique. Judging from the coefficient value, it has a value of 0.669 with p or significance 0.000 < 0.050, which means there is a positive relationship that is in line between learning motivation and student learning achievement, namely the higher the learning motivation, the higher the learning achievement and vice versa. The determinant coefficient has a value of 0.447, which is equivalent to 44.7%. Which means that learning motivation influences learning achievement by 44.7%.
