dc.description.abstractTanah gambut merupakan salah satu jenis tanah yang memiliki daya dukung yang buruk dan kurang baik untuk tanah dasar konstruksi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan abu sekam padi dan kapur terhadap nilai indeks plastisitas (PI) dari tanah gambut. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan campuran tanah gambut dengan pencampuran abu sekam padi dan kapur (10%, 15%, 20%, dan 25%) dari berat kering tanah. Setelah dilakukan pemeraman selama 14 hari maka dilakukan pengujian batas cair dan batas plastis tanah di masing-masing campuran. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa sampel tanah asli memiliki kadar air 95.94%; berat jenis 1.480; batas cair 54.12%; batas plastis 24.38% dan indeks plastisitas (PI) 29.74%. setelah dilakukan pencampuran dan pemeraman selama 14 hari maka diperoleh batas cair tanah pada penambahan 10%, 15%, 20%, dan 25% yaitu 52.98%, 50.45%, 49.60%, dan 48.64%, dan batas plastis pada penambahan 10%, 15%, 20%, dan 25% yaitu 27.39%, 29.27%, 32.69%, dan 36.86%. Setelah distabilisasi dengan penambahan abu sekam padi dan kapur dengan variasi 10%, 15%, 20%, dan 25% diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa batas cair tanah mengalami penurunan dan batas plastis mengalami kenaikan sehingga indeks plastisitas (PI) mengalami penurunan. Peat soils are one type of soil that has poor carrying capacity and is not good for basic construction soils. To improve the carrying capacity of bad soils stabilization is done. The aim of this study was to find out the effect of adding rice husk ash and lime on the plasticity index value (IP) from peat soils. In this study a mixture of peat soils was carried out by mixing rice husk ash and lime (10%, 15%, 20%, dan 25%) from the dry weight of the soil. After 14 day of dyeing, a liquid boundary test and plastic soil limit are carried out in each mixture. From the results of the study it was obtained that the original soil sample had a moisture content of 95.94%; spesific gravity 1.480; liquid limit 54.12%; plastic limit 24.38% and plasticity index (PI) 29.74%, after mixing and squeezing for 14 days, a liquid soil limit was obtained at the addition of 10%, 15%, 20%, dan 25% ie 52.98%, 50.45%, 49.60%, and 48.64%, and plastic limits on the addition of 10%, 15%, 20%, dan 25% ie 27.39%, 29.27%, 32.69%, and 36.86%. After destabilization by adding rice husk ash and lime with variations of 10%, 15%, 20%, dan 25% the conclusion was obtained that the liquid limit of the soil decreased and the plastic limit increased so that the plasticity index (PI) decreased.en_US
