Abstract: Kebisingan di sekitar bangunan yang terus meningkat serta naiknya permintaan bahan bangunan yang bersifat akustik untuk kebutuhan ruang music dan film di dalam rumah (dikenal dengan istilah Home ·theatre). Telah menyebabkan kebutuhan bahan bangunan yang bersifat akustik juga meningkat. Namun, bahan semacam ini tidak secara merata terjangkau masyarakat.Pemanfaatan bahan limbah, seperti ijuk aren, sabut kelapa dan Polyurethane sebagai bahan baku pembuatan material akustik. Dimana selain kita mudah mendapatkan limbah ijuk aren, sabut kelapa mudah otom.at.is harga dari suatu bahan material tersebut dapat terjangkau oleh masyarakat kalangan menengah ke bawah. Material yang berpori, berserat dan lunak pada wnumnya merupakan jenis material dengan sifat penyerap bunyi yang baik.
