Abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan peran keluarga dengan work- family conflict pada karyawan wanita. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif, adapun penelitian ini menggunakan teknik total sampling. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 55 orang yang memiliki karakteristik wanita yang bekerja sebagai karyawan di PTPN III. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori dari Bellavia & Frone (2009) untuk melihat faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi work-family conflict , Greenhaus & Beutell (1985) untuk melihat dimensi dari work-family conflict, dan teori Siagian (2009) untuk melihat faktor- faktor yang mempengaruhi peran keluarga seorang karyawan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan PTPN III Medan tidak mengalami permasalahan pada peran keluarga pada karyawan khususnya pada karyawan wanita dikarenakan di PTPN III Medan justru tingkat peran keluarga pada karyawan tinggi dan work-family conflict rendah. Ini dikarenakan PTPN III Medan telah berhasil dalam awal mengevaluasi peran keluarga tiap individu bagi karyawannya dengan beberapa proses yang di lakukan perusahaan untuk karyawannya. Setelah dilakukan analisis data maka diperoleh hasil penelitian: Adanya hubungan positif antara peran keluarga dengan work-family conflict dimana, rxy = 0,936 < 0,050. Artinya semakin tinggi pengembangan karir maka semakin tinggi work-family conflict. Berdasarkan hasil ini, berarti hipotesis yang diajukan yang berbunyi ada hubungan antara peran keluarga dengan work-family conflict pada karyawan wanita dinyatakan diterima. Sumbangan efektif variabel peran keluarga terhadap work-family conflict pada karyawan wanita adalah 87,5%. Berdasarkan penelitian ini maka dapat diketahui bahwa masih terdapat 12,5% pengaruh dari faktor lain terhadap work-family conflict yang tidak diungkap dalam penelitian ini. This research aims to determine the relationship between family roles and work- family conflict in female employees. This research uses quantitative research methods, while this research uses total sampling techniques. The sample in this study consisted of 55 people who had the characteristics of women who worked as employees at PTPN III. This research uses theories from Bellavia & Frone (2009) to look at the factors that influence work-family conflict, Greenhaus & Beutell (1985) to look at the dimensions of work-family conflict, and Siagian's theory (2009) to look at the factors that influence work-family conflict. affecting an employee's family role. The results of the research show that PTPN III Medan does not experience problems with the family role of employees, especially female employees, because at PTPN III Medan the level of family role for employees is high and work-family conflict is low. This is because PTPN III Medan has succeeded in initially evaluating the family role of each individual for its employees with several processes carried out by the company for its employees. After data analysis, the research results were obtained: There is a positive relationship between family roles and work-family conflict where, rxy = 0.936 < 0.050. This means that the higher the career development, the higher the work- family conflict. Based on these results, it means that the hypothesis proposed which states that there is a relationship between family roles and work-family conflict in female employees is declared accepted. The effective contribution of the family role variable to work-family conflict in female employees is 87.5%. Based on this research, it can be seen that there is still 12.5% influence from other factors on work-family conflict which was not revealed in this research.
