dc.description.abstractPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan pola asuh demokratis orang tua dengan kecerdasan emosional pada siswa di SMA Nurul Hasanah Medan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian Kuantitatif. pengambilan teknik sampelnya menggunakan Teknik Total Sampling dengan jumlah 40 orang. Menggunakan teknik skala likert, yaitu skala pola asuh demokratis dan skala kecerdasan emosional. analisis ini menggunakan teknik Kolmogorov Smirnov dengan bantuan program komputer SPSS versi 25.0 for windows Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah korelasi Product Moment dari Karl Pearson. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan koefisien korelasi (rxy) sebesar = 0,899 dengan nilai signifikan p=0,000 (p<0,05). Hal ini berarti hipotesis penelitian diterima, yakni adanya hubungan positif yang signifikan antara pola asuh demokratis dengan kecerdasan emosional. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan secara nilai rata-rata hipotetik dan empirik pola asuh tergolong sedang, sebab dilihat dari perbandingan rata-rata empirik (98,05) yang berselisih melebihi bilangan SD (18,013) dengan nilai rata-rata hipotetiknya (90). Kemudian kecerdasan emosional tergolong sedang, sebab dilihat dari perbandingan rata-rata empirik (125,85) yang berselisih melebihi bilangan SD (25,085) dengan nilai rata-rata hipotetiknya (115). Adapun sumbangan efektif dari pola asuh demokratis mempengaruhi kecerdasan emosional sebesar 80,9%. Adapun faktor lainnya yang tidak diteliti dalam penelitian ini sebesar 19,1% yakni; berasal dari keharmonisan rumah tangga, lingkungan sekolah dan teman sebaya, bimbingan guru dan orang tua, suasana rumah kepribadian, kebiasaan orang tua, dan tubuh yang sehat. This study aims to look at the correlation between democratic parenting parents and emotional intelligence in students at SMA Nurul Hasanah Medan. This study uses a quantitative research method. the sampling technique used the Total Sampling Technique with a total of 40 people. Using the Likert scale technique, namely the democratic parenting scale and the emotional intelligence scale. This analysis uses the Kolmogorov Smirnov technique with the help of the computer program SPSS version 25.0 for windows. The data analysis technique used is Product Moment correlation from Karl Pearson. The results of this study showed a correlation coefficient (rxy) of = 0.899 with a significant value of p = 0.000 (p <0.05). This means that the research hypothesis is accepted, namely that there is a significant positive correlation between democratic parenting and emotional intelligence. Based on the results of calculations, the average hypothetical and empirical values of parenting are classified as moderate, because it can be seen from the comparison of the empirical average (98.05) that the difference exceeds the SD number (18.013) with the average hypothetical value (90). Then emotional intelligence is classified as medium, because it is seen from the comparison of the empirical average (125.85) which differs from the SD number (25.085) with the average hypothetical value (115). The effective contribution of democratic parenting influences emotional intelligence by 80.9%. The other factors that were not examined in this study amounted to 19.1% namely; comes from the harmony of the household, the school environment and peers, the guidance of teachers and parents, the personality of the home atmosphere, the habits of parents, and a healthy body.en_US
