Abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan dan daya prediksi Nilai Ujian Nasional (NUN) SMP terhadap prestasi belajar siswa SMA di kota Medan tahun ajaran 2010-2011. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa siswi kelas XI SMA di kota Medan yang lulus melalui NUN dan non NUN (tes) dengan sampel sebanyak 1714 siswa yang terkumpul dari 10 SMA Negeri di kota Medan, dengan menggunakan teknik Area Random Sampling dalam pengambilan sampel. Variabel Nilai Ujian Nasional (NUN) dan variabel prestasi belajar di peroleh dengan metode dokumentasi. Prediksi Nilai Ujian Nasional (NUN) SMP terhadap prestasi belajar siswa SMA di kota Medan tahun ajaran 2010-2011 diuji dengan menggunakan teknik Analisis Regresi dan Analisis Varians dua jalur. Terdapat hubungan yang sangat signifikan antara hasil Nilai Ujian Nasional (NUN) mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia, Bahasa Inggris, Matematika dan IP A dengan prestasi belajar, yang ditunjukkan dengan koefisien F = 10.564 dengan p < 0.01 dengan R = 0.191. Adapun koefisien determinan dari hubungan diatas adalah ~ebesar R2 = 0.036. Ini artinya daya prediksi Nilai Ujian Nasional (NUN) belum memuaskan untuk memprediksi prestasi belajar siswa, hal ini ditunjukkan dengan rendahnya koefisien determinan untuk prediktor Nilai Ujian Nasional (NUN) terhadap prestasi belajar sebesar R2 = 0.036 dan sumbangan efektifnya hanya sebesar 3.6% dan 96.4 % faktor lain yang mempengaruhi prestasi belajar seperti faktor lingkungan, faktor motivasi, faktor minat dan lain sebagainya. Hasil lain, Ada perbedaan yang sangat signifikan antara prestasi belajar siswa laki-laki dengan siswa perempuan, ini ditunjukkan oleh koefisien F = 52.187 dengan p < 0.01, dan temyata siswa perempuan lebih tinggi prestasi belajamya dibandingkan dengan siswa laki-laki. Serta terdapat perbedaan yang sangat signifikan antar siswa yang lulus melalui Nilai Ujian Nasional (NUN) dengan siswa yang lulus melalui tes tertulis, ini ditujukkan dengan koefisien F = 8.955 dengan P < 0.01, dan temyata siswa yang masuk sekolah melalui jalur Nilai Ujian Nasional (NUN) memiliki prestasi belajar lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan siswa yang masuk sekolah melalui jalur tes. This study aims to determine the relationship and predictive power of exam scores National Junior High School (NUN) on the learning achievement of high school students in the city of Medan in 2010-2011 teachings. The population in this study were students of class XI SMA in the city of Medan who passed through the NUN and non-NUN (test) with samples as many as 1714 students collected from 10 public high schools in the city of Medan, with using Area Random Sampling technique in sampling. National Examination Score Variables (NUN) and learning achievement variables were obtained with the documentation method. Prediction of Middle School National Examination (NUN) Scores against the learning achievement of high school students in the city of Medan in the 2010-2011 school year was tested with using the technique of Regression Analysis and two-way Analysis of Variance. There is a very significant relationship between the results of the National Examination Score (NUN) eye Indonesian, English, Mathematics and Science lessons with achievements study, which is indicated by the coefficient F = 10.564 with p <0.01 with R = 0.191. The determinant coefficient of the relationship above is ~ as large as R2 = 0.036. This means that the predictive power of National Examination Scores (NUN) is not satisfactory to predict student achievement, this is shown by the low the determinant coefficient for predictors of National Examination Scores (NUN) against learning achievement of R2 = 0.036 and the effective contribution is only 3.6% and 96.4% other factors that affect learning achievement such as factors environment, motivational factors, interest factors and so on. Another result, There is a very significant difference between the learning achievement of male students with female students, this is indicated by the coefficient F = 52.187 with p < 0.01, and it turns out that female students have higher learning achievements compared to male student. And there are very significant differences between students who pass through the National Exam Score (NUN) with students who pass through the test written, this is shown by the coefficient F = 8.955 with P < 0.01, and it turns out students who enter school through the National Examination Score (NUN) route have learning achievement is higher than students who enter school through the test line.
