Abstract: Prokrastinasi akademik merupakan suatu penundaan dalam mengerjakan tugas sekolah yang dilakukan oleh siswa. Berbagai sumber permasalahan yang menjadi pemicu terjadinya prokrastinasi akademik mulai dari motivasi untuk belajar dan kurangnya dalam mergulasi diri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan antara self-regulation dengan prokrastinasi akademik pada siswa kelas XI di SMA Panca Budi Medan. Populasi penelitian ini adalah para siswa dari kelas XI yang berjumlah 287 siswa, dan sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 85 siswa, teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan random sampling. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif. Pengumpulan data menggunakan skala self-regulation dan skala prokrastinasi akademik yang diukur dengan menggunakan bentuk skala Likert. Teknik analisis data menggunakan Korelasi Product Moment. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai signifikansi korelasi p= 0,000<0,05, artinya ada hubungan positif antara self-regulation dengan prokrastinasi akademik pada siswa kelas XI SMA Panca Budi Medan, dengan koefisien determinan (r2) sebesar 0,455 atau 45,5%. Artinya hipotesis diterima. Prokrastinasi akademik tergolong rendah (mean empirik = 64,42 < mean hipotetik = 75 di mana selisihnya lebih dari bilang SD= 8,389), dan untuk Self-Regulation tergolong rendah (mean empirik = 38,08 < mean hipotetik = 50 di mana selisihnya lebih dari bilang SD= 6,211). Academic procrastination is a delay in doing school work done by students. Various sources of problems that trigger academic procrastination start from motivation to study and lack of self-regulation.This study aims to examine the relationship between self-regulation and academic procrastination in class XI students at SMA Panca Budi Medan. The population of this study were students from class XI, totaling 287 students, and the sample in this study amounted to 85 students. The sampling technique used random sampling. This research method uses quantitative research methods. Data collection used a self-regulation scale and academic procrastination scale which was measured using a Likert scale. Data analysis technique uses Product Moment Correlation. The results showed a significant correlation value p = 0.000 <0.05, meaning that there is a positive relationship between self-regulation and academic procrastination in class XI SMA Panca Budi Medan, with a determinant coefficient (r2) of 0.455 or 45.5%. It means the hypothesis is accepted. Academic procrastination is low (empirical mean = 64.42 < hypothetical mean = 75 where the difference is more than SD = 8.389), and self-regulation is low (empirical mean = 38.08 < hypothetical mean = 50 where the difference is more than SD = 6.211).
