This research was conducted to see the correlation between culture shock and adjustment in members of the Police at the South Nias Police. The sample in this study were members of the National Police who were not ethnic Nias at the South Nias Police, which totaled 70 people. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling technique. Data collection was carried out using a Likert scale model with two scales, namely the culture shock scale and the adjustment scale. The results of the study using the Pearson product moment (rxy) correlation technique are known to be -0.345 with p = 0.003 <0.05. This means that there is a negative relationship between culture shock and adjustment, which shows that the higher the culture shock of Polri members, the lower the adjustment of Polri members, and the hypothesis in this study is accepted. Based on the results of the data analysis conducted, it is known that culture shock among Polri members is classified as moderate with a hypothetical mean (75) > empirical mean (70.57) and the difference exceeds the number one elementary school (6.133), adjustment to Polri members is classified as high with a hypothetical mean (92 .5) > empirical mean (126.70) and the difference exceeds one SD (8.176). Then it was found that the contribution of culture shock to adjustment was 15.2% while it was influenced by 84.8% of other factors that influence adjustment that are not revealed in this study are physical condition, personality, education/education, religion and culture.en_US
