Hubungan antara Dukungan Sosial dengan Kecemasan dalam Menghadapi Dunia Kerja pada Fresh Graduate di Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Medan Area

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan antara dukungan sosial dengan kecemasan dalam menghadapi dunia kerja pada Fresh Graduate, dimana yang menjadi subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah Fresh Graduate Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Medan Area. Dukungan sosial dengan kecemasan dalam menghadapi dunia kerja pada Fresh Graduate dalam penelitian ini diungkap dengan menggunakan skala Likert. Metode analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Korelasi-Product Moment, maka diperoleh hasil sebagai berikut: 1) Terdapat hubungan negatif yang signifikan antara dukungan sosial dengan kecemasan dalam menghadapi dunia kerja pada Fresh Graduate. Hasil ini dibuktikan dengan koefisien korelasi rxy = -0,727; P = 0,000 (P< 0,05). 2) Bahwa dukungan sosial yang diterima subjek mempengaruhi atau menekankan munculnya kecemasan dalam menghadapi dunia kerja pada Fresh Graduate sebesar 52,8%. Dari hasil ini diketahui bahwa masih terdapat 47,2% dari faktor lain terhadap kecemasan pada Fresh Graduate dalam menghadapi dunia kerja, dimana faktor-faktor tersebut tidak disebutkan dalam penelitian ini. 3) Bahwa Fresh Graduate di Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Medan Area, memiliki dukungan sosial yang rendah (mean empirik = 37,93 < mean hipotetik = 45 dimana selisih kedua mean melebihi bilangan SD = 6,222) dan kecemasan dalam menghadapi dunia kerja pada Fresh Graduate tergolong tinggi (mean empirik = 69,93 > mean hipotetik = 60 dimana selisih kedua mean tersebut melebihi bilangan SD = 8,275). Dari hasil penelitian ini, maka hipotesis yang diajukan dinyatakan diterima. This study aims to see the corelation between social support and anxiety in dealing with the world of work on Fresh Graduates, where the subject of this research is Fresh Graduate Faculty of Psychology, University of Medan Area. Social support with anxiety in dealing with the world of work on Fresh Graduates in this study was revealed using a Likert scale. The data analysis method used in this study is Correlation-Product Moment, the results obtained are as follows: 1) There is a significant negative corelation between social support and anxiety in dealing with the world of work in Fresh Graduates. This result is evidenced by the correlation coefficient rxy = -0.727; P = 0.000 (P < 0.05). 2) That the social support received by the subject affects or emphasizes the emergence of anxiety in dealing with the world of work in Fresh Graduates by 52.8%. From these results it is known that there are still 47.2% of other factors on the anxiety of Fresh Graduates in dealing with the world of work, where these factors are not mentioned in this study. 3) That Fresh Graduates at the Faculty of Psychology, University of Medan Area, have low social support (empirical mean = 37.93 < hypothetical mean = 45 where the difference between the two means exceeds the SD number = 6,222) and anxiety in dealing with the world of work at Fresh Graduates is high (empirical mean = 69.93 > hypothetical mean = 60 where the difference between the two means exceeds SD = 8.275). From the results of this study, the proposed hypothesis is accepted.
