dc.description.abstractPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan Kepribadian tangguh dan optimisme dengan stress akademik pada siwa SMA Negeri 1 Binjai. Stress akademik merupakan ketegangan emosional yang muncul dari peristiwa-peristiwa kehidupan di sekolah dan perasaan terancamnya keselamatan atau harga diri siswa. Hipotesis yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini yaitu ada hubungan negatif antara kepribadian tangguh dan optimisme dengan stress akademik, Populasi berjumlah 374 siswa, dengan tehnik sampling menggunakan total sampling yang terlebih dahulu dilakukan screening berjumlah 95 siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan skala kepribadian tangguh, optimisme dan skala stress akademik. Metode analisis data menggunakan analisis regresi berganda, hasil yang di peroleh Rxy) = -0,728 dengan p = 0.000 < 0.050, yaitu ada hubungan yang signifikan antara kepribadian tangguh dan optimisme dengan stres akademik. BE% = 39,1%. Dengan demikian maka hipotesis yang diajukan, dinyatakan diterima. Masih terdapat 69,9% factor lain yang berpengaruh terhadap stress akademik yang tidak diteliti dalam prnrlitian ini yaitu; locus of control, problem solving, dan efikasi diri terhadap sumber stres yang dialami siswa termasuk keinginan mencapai prestasi, dan faktor eksternal sedangkan faktor yang dapat mereduksi stress yaitu ridha dengan ketentuan Allah, bersyukur, berfikir positif dan dzikir (religiusitas). This study aims to determine the correlation between tough personality and optimism with academic stress in the students of SMA Negeri 1 Binjai. Academic stress is an emotional tension that arises from life events at school and feelings of threat to the safety or self-esteem of students. The hypothesis proposed in this study is that there is a negative relationship between tough personality and optimism with academic stress. The population is 374 students, with a sampling technique using a total sampling of 95 students who first screened. This study uses a tough personality scale, optimism and academic stress scale. The data analysis method used multiple regression analysis, the results obtained were Rxy) = -0.728 with p = 0.000 < 0.050, that is, there is a significant correlation between tough personality and optimism with academic stress. BE% = 39.1%. Thus, the proposed hypothesis is declared accepted. There are still 69.9% of other factors that influence academic stress that were not examined in this research, namely; locus of control, problem solving, and self-efficacy against sources of stress experienced by students including the desire to achieve achievement, and external factors while factors that can reduce stress are pleasure with God's provisions, gratitude, positive thinking and dhikr (religiosity).en_US
