Abstract: Fenomena perilaku orang tua mendampingi anak selama pembelajaran daring seperti kekerasan fisik dan verbal perlu mendapat perhatian yang serius. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan keefektifan filial play dalam meningkatkan kemampuan orang tua meregulasi emosi dan berempati selama mendampingi anak belajar dari rumah di sekolah Maitreyawira, Deli Serdang. Informan yang dipilih harus memenuhi persyaratan yakni memenuhi kriteria untuk dilatih filial play dan informan berkomitmen untuk bermain filial play dengan anak 5 kali seminggu selama 3 bulan. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif pendekatan riset naratif. Data penelitian diperoleh dari data kuesioner, wawancara, observasi, catatan lapangan, dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan bantuan N-VIVO 12 Plus. Hasil penelitian adalah penerapan keterampilan filial play membawa dampak yang baik yakni para informan menjadi mampu meregulasi emosi diri dan berempai ketika mendampingi anak belajar dari rumah. The phenomenon of the behavior of parents accompanying children during online learning such as physical and verbal violence needs serious attention. The purpose of this study was to describe the effectiveness of filial play in increasing the ability of parents to regulate emotions and empathize while accompanying children to learn from home at Maitreyawira school, Deli Serdang. The selected informants must meet the requirements, namely meeting the criteria to be trained in filial play and the informants are committed to playing filial play with their children 5 times a week for 3 months. The research uses a qualitative method with a narrative research approach. Research data obtained from questionnaires, interviews, observations, field notes, and documentation. Data were analyzed using N-VIVO 12 Plus. The result of the research is that the application of filial play skills has a good impact, namely the informants are able to regulate their emotions and are empathetic when accompanying children to learn from home.
