Abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan keterampilan sosial dan makna hidup terhadap keterlibatan siswa pada siwa SMA N 8 Medan. Hipotesis yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini yaitu ada hubungan positif antara keterampilan sosial dan makna hidup dengan keterlibatan siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Dengan menggunakan teknik simple sampling, sampel berjumlah 250 siswa. Metode pengambilan data menggunakan skala keterampilan sosial dan makna hidup dan skala keterlibatan siswa. Metode analisis data menggunakan regresi berganda. Berdasarkan analisis data yang dilakukan di peroleh hasil bahwa ada hubungan yang signifikan keterampilan sosial dan makna hidup dengan keterlibatan siswa dimana Rxy) = 0,790 dengan p = 0.000 < 0.050, dengan demikian maka hipotesis yang diajukan, dinyatakan diterima. Sumbangan keterampilan sosial dan makna hidup dengan keterlibatan siswa sebesar = 62,9%, masih terdapat 37,1% faktor lain yang mempengaruhi keterlibatan siswa yang tidak dilihat dalam penelitian ini. This study aims to determine the correlation of social skills and the meaning of life on student involvement in the students of SMA N 8 Medan. The hypothesis proposed in this study is that there is a positive influence between social skills and the meaning of life with student involvement. This study uses a quantitative approach. By using simple sampling technique, the sample is 250 students. The data collection method used the Social Skills and Meaning of Life scale and the Student Engagement scale. Data analysis method using Multiple Regression. Based on the data analysis carried out, it was found that there was a significant effect of Social Skills and Meaning of Life on student involvement where Rxy) = 0.790 with p = 0.000 < 0.050, thus the proposed hypothesis was declared accepted. The contribution of social skills and meaning of life to student involvement is = 62.9%, there are still 37.1% of other factors that influence student involvement that were not seen in this study.
