dc.description.abstractDiabetes Mellitus biasa disebut dengan The Silent Killer karena penyakit ini dapat mengenai semua organ tubuh dan menimbulkan berbagai macam gejala, salah satunya pada saluran kemih. Jika kadar glukosa darah tinggi (glukosuria), maka kelebihannya akan dikeluarkan melalui urine. Pada penderita yang mengalami glukosuria, akan menyebabkan peningkatan leukosit urine atau yang disebut leukosituria. Penelitian ini berjudul Analisis Jumlah Leukosit Urine Penderita Diabetes Mellitus Di Rumah Sakit Estomihi Kota Medan. Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui jumlah leukosit urine penderita Diabetes Mellitus di Rumah Sakit Estomihi Kota Medan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan cara pemeriksaan laboratorium untuk mengetahui jumlah leukosit urine penderita diabetes mellitus di Rumah Sakit Estomihi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan jumlah leukosit urine pada penderita diabetes mellitus di Rumah Sakit Estomihi. Dari total 30 sampel urine penderita diabetes mellitus sebanyak 12 orang (40%) memiliki jumlah leukosit urine normal, dan 18 orang (60%) menderita leukosituria. Hasil pengamatan berdasarkan jenis kelamin untuk pasien perempuan lebih besar terdeteksi leukosituria yaitu sebesar 66,7%. Berdasarkan hasil analisis personal hygiene berpengaruh terhadap kejadian leukosituria pada penderita diabetes mellitus di RS Estomihi Kota Medan. Diabetes Mellitus is commonly referred to as The Silent Killer because this disease can affect all organs of the body and cause some various symptoms, one of them is in the urinary tract. When the blood glucose levels are high (glucosuria), the excess will be excreted through the urine. In patients with glucosuria, it will cause an increase in urine leukocytes or is called leukocyturia. This research is entitled Analysis of Urine Leukocyte Count of Patients with Diabetes Mellitus at Estomihi Hospital, Medan City. The purpose of this study was to determine the number of urine leukocytes in patients with diabetes mellitus at Estomihi Hospital, Medan City. This research uses a descriptive method. Herewith, laboratory examinations and data analysis were carried out to determine the number of urine leukocytes of people with diabetes mellitus at Estomihi Hospital. The results of study showed that there was an increase in the number of urine leukocytes in patients with diabetes mellitus at Estomihi Hospital. From a total of 30 urine samples from diabetes mellitus patients, 12 people (40%) had normal urine leukocyte counts, and 18 people (60%) suffered from leukocyturia. The results of observations based on gender for female patients detected greater leukocyturia in the amount of 66.7%. Based on the results of the analysis of personal hygiene effect on the incidence of leukocyturia in patients with diabetes mellitus at Estomihi Hospital, Medan City.en_US
