Abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh person organization fit dengan motivasi kerja karyawan pada bagian umum di PT. Perkebunan Nusantara III (Persero) Medan. Subyek dalam penelitian ini adalah karyawan bagian umum perusahaan, yang berjumlah 35 orang karyawan. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik Total Sampling. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan dua skala, yaitu skala person organization fit dan skala motivasi kerja. Analisis data menggunakan teknik regresi sederhana (𝑟𝑥𝑦 ) yaitu sebesar 0,733 dengan F=38,241>0,000, artinya terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan antara person organization fit dengan motivasi kerja karyawan yang menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi pengaplikasian person organization fit, motivasi kerja yang diamti tinggi. Sebaliknya semakin rendah pengaplikasian person organization fit, motivasi yang diamati rendah. Person organization fit mean empiric =157,80 > mean hipotetik = 125 dan SD = 11,814). Dan motivasi kerja juga tergolong tinggi karena (mean empirik=96,91 > mean hipotetik=80 dan SD=5,281). Adapun koefisien determinan dari korelasi tersebut sebesar 𝑟2= 0,537. Person organization fit memberikan sumbangan terhadap motivasi kerja sebesar 53,7%. Hasil penelitian ini, sesuai antara hipotesis dengan hasil penelitian di lapangan. Dinyatakan hipotesis diterima. This study aims to see the effect of person organization fit with employee work motivation in the general section at PT. Plantation Nusantara III (Persero) Medan. The subjects in this study were employees of the general part of the company, which amounted to 35 employees. The sampling technique uses the Total Sampling technique. Data retrieval is done by using two scales, namely person organization fit scale and work motivation scale. Data analysis using simple regression technique (r_xy) that is equal to 0.733 with F = 38.241> 0.000, meaning that there is a positive and significant influence between person organization fit with employee work motivation which shows that the higher the application of person organization fit, high work motivation. Conversely the lower the application of person organization fit, the observed motivation is low. Person organization fit mean empiric = 157.80> hypothetical mean = 125 and SD = 11,814). And work motivation is also classified as high because (empirical mean = 96.91> hypothetical mean = 80 and SD = 5.281). The determinant coefficient of the correlation is r ^ 2 = 0.537. Person organization fit contributes to work motivation by 53.7%. The results of this study, according to the hypothesis with the results of research in the field. It is stated that the hypothesis is accepted.
