Hubungan Antara Kecerdasan Emosional dan Dukungan Sosial Dengan Burnout Pada Perawat di RSUD IDI Kabupaten Aceh Timur

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between emotional intelligence and social support with burnout in nurses in hospitals IDI East Aceh. The study involved 80 nurses in hospitals IDI. The sampling technique used in this research is purposive sampling method. The characteristics in this study: ICU nurses, unmarried and aged 22-35 years. Collecting data in this study using a Likert scale consisting of 3 scale, namely emotional intelligence refers to components that are raised by Goleman (2009), social support based support proposed by the House and Khon (in Lester, 2007) and burnout by aspects of the proposed Maslach and Jackson (in Diaz and Zulkaida, 2009). Data analysis methods used in this study using SPSS version 17.0. The results showed a correlation value (R) of 0.364 and of the output obtained determination (R2) of 0.133 and the magnitude of the effective contribution of 13.3%, which means that there is a significant relationship between emotional intelligence and social support with burnout in nurses in hospitals IDI Aceh East. This proves the hypothesis that dikemukan accepted. There was no significant relationship between emotional intelligence and burnout in nurses in hospitals IDI (p = 0.167, p> 0.05), the contribution of emotional intelligence relationship with burnout by 2.1%. Based on this, the hypothesis has been proposed in this study, be rejected. There signifikna relationship between social support and burnout in nurses in hospitals IDI (p = 0.011, p <0.05), the contribution of the relationship between social support and burnout of 11.1%. Based on these results, the hypothesis has been proposed in this study, are accepted.
