This study aims to determine the relationship between workload and work stress of in the operational unit of PT. Bank Sumut Medan Branch. This research method used quantitative methods. The population in this study was the operational unit employees of PT. Bank Sumut Medan Branch totaling 33 employees, and the sample in this study was the entire population of 33 employees, the sampling technique in this study used a total sampling technique. The data collection method in this study used the Workload Scale and Work Stress Scale measured using the Likert scale. Data analysis techniques use the Product Moment Correlation technique. The results showed a signification value of correlation p = 0.000 < 0.05, meaning that there is a positive relationship between workload and work stress on employees in the operational unit of PT. Bank Sumut Medan Branch, with a determinant coefficient (r2) of 0.236 with a contribution of 23.6%. In other words, the hypothesis is accepted. Work Stress is classified as high (empirical mean = 84.70 > hypothetical mean = 75 where the difference is more than SD = 5.059), and the workload is classified as high (empirical mean = 37.42 > hypothetical mean = 30 where the difference is more than say SD = 5,244).en_US
