Abstract: Paving block atau bata beton adalah suatu komponen bahan bangunan yang dibuat dari campuran semen hidrolis atau sejenisnya, agregat dan air dengan atau tanpa bahan tambahan lainnya yang tidak mengurangi mutu paving block tersebut. Maka dari itu pada penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahu seberapa besar kuat tekan yang dapat diterima oleh paving block campuran mortar, abu sekam padi dan serat pelepah pohon pisang kepok dengan 4 variasi komposisi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen melakukan pendekatan penelitian secara kuantitatif dan litelatur di lakukan dengan cara mempelajari buku-buku dan jurnal-jurnal, penelitian ini di lakukan di universitas negeri medan. Dari penelitian ini didapatkan Kuat tekan ratarata. Variasi 1, 1:1 (Mortar 85%, Abu Sekam Padi 14%, Serat Pelepah Pisang Kepok 1%) sebesar 13,47 MPa. Variasi 2, 1:1 (Mortar 85%, Abu Sekam Padi 13%, Serat Pelepah Pisang Kepok 2%) sebesar 13,46 MPa. Variasi 3, 1:2 (Mortar 85%, Abu Sekam Padi 14%, Serat Pelepah Pisang Kepok 1%) sebesar 11,12 MPa. Variasi 4, 1:2 (Mortar 85%, Abu Sekam Padi 13%, Serat Pelepah Pisang Kepok 2%) sebesar 13,09 MPa. Paving block or concrete brick is a component of building material made from a mixture of hydraulic cement or the like, aggregate and air with or without other additives that do not reduce the quality of the paving block. Therefore, this study aims to determine how much compressive strength can be received by paving blocks with a mixture of mortar, rice husk ash and kepok banana tree midrib fiber with 4 variations in composition. The method used in conducting this research is an experimental method using a quantitative and literary approach by studying books and journals, this research was conducted at the Medan State University. From this study obtained the average compressive strength. Variation 1, 1:1 (85% Mortar, 14% Rice Husk Ash, 1% Kepok Banana Midrib Fiber) was 13.47 MPa. Variation 2, 1:1 (85% Mortar, 13% Rice Husk Ash, 2% Banana Leaf Fiber) was 13.46 MPa. Variation 3, 1:2 (85% Mortar, 14% Rice Husk Ash, 1% Kepok Banana Midrib Fiber) of 11.12 MPa. Variation 4, 1:2 (85% Mortar, 13% Rice Husk Ash, 2% Banana Leaf Fiber) was 13.09 MPa.
