Abstract: Dengan meningkatnya arus lalu lintas, khususnya kendaraan barang dan jasa angkutan, ternyata ini memberikan pengaruh dan dampak yang merugikan bagi kemampuan pelayanan strukturjalan.Bahkan kemungkinan dengan adanya kondisi arus lalulintas sekarang ini, struktur perkerasan jalan akan lebih cepat rusak. Untuk menentukan apakah pada saat sekarang atau masa datang, jalan masih dalam kondisi baik, maka perlu diketahui berapa besar kondisi fungsional permukaan jalan yang mengacu pada kondisi dan kerusakan di permukaan perkerasan jalan yang terjadi.Metode yang digunakan dalam kajian ini adalah metode PCI (Pavement Condition Index).Dalam metode PCI, tingkat keparahan kerusakan perkerasan 3 faktor utama yaitu :tipe kerusakan, tingkat keparahan kerusakan, kerapatan kerusakan. PCI ini memberikan indeks numerik yang nilainya berkisar diantara 0 sampai 100.Nilai 0 menunjukkan perkerasan dalam kondisi sangat rusak dannilai 100 menunjukkan perkerasaan dalam kondisi .Pekerjaan penilaian keusakan dilakukan untuk mengidentifikasi dan mencatat kerusakan pada permukaan perkerasan.Survei dilakukan padaruas jalanTB.Simatupang sepanjang 2 km.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan untuk ruas jalan yang di teliti yang di nyatakan dengan nilai PCI didapat 29,63 masuk dalam kondisi buruk Perhitungan lapis memperbaik ikondisi permukaan jalan. With the increase in traffic flow, especially for goods vehicles and transportation services, it turns out that this has a detrimental effect and impact on the service capability of road structures. It is even possible that with the current traffic flow conditions, the pavement structure will be damaged more quickly. To determine whether at present or in the future, the road is still in good condition, it is necessary to know how much the functional condition of the road surface refers to the condition and damage to the pavement surface that has occurred. The method used in this study is the PCI (Pavement Condition Index) method. In the PCI method, the severity of pavement damage is a function of 3 main factors: the type of damage, the severity of the damage, and the density of the damage. This PCI provides a numerical index whose values range from 0 to 100. A value of 0 indicates that the pavement is in very bad condition and a value of 100 indicates that the pavement is still in perfect condition. Damage assessment work is carried out to identify and record damage to the pavement surface. The survey was conducted on the 2 km long TB Simatupang road. The results showed that for the examined roads that were stated with a PCI value it was found that 29.63 were in bad condition. Calculation of overlay is one way to improve road surface conditions.
