The land between the rubber plantations in the immature rubber plantation area is the optimal land to produce integrated smallholder agricultural productivity through intercropping of food with plantation commodities. Therefore, in the research entitled the diversity of pests and the intensity of attack on some brown rice (Oryza nivara) to the early generative phase planted between rubber (Hevea Brasiliense) stands, the aim was to determine the diversity of insect pests in several varieties of brown rice and count attacks. The study was conducted in the TBM area of rubber plants in Sei Putih Gardens, Deli Serdang from October 2020 to January 2021. The treatments used 3 varieties and types of spacing. Insect collection and observation with yellow trap, aspirator, and sweep net. The findings revealed that 89 insect species, 49 families, and 11 orders were discovered in the area of brown rice planted between rubber TBM stands. Coleoptera, Hymenoptera, Hemiptera, Lepidoptera, Diptera, Homoptera, Orthoptera, Odonata, Isoptera, Araneae, and Dermaptera were among the insect orders discovered. With a value of H' = 1.86, the diversity of insect species in the brown rice area falls into the medium group. There are no other types of insects pests that dominate other species if the dominance index value is < 1. Pest attack was most intense on the MSP 17 type, which had a spacing of 20 × 20 cm and a percentage of 29.42 percent.
