This study aims to find out the differences in social loaning reviewed from Batak Toba and Java tribes in 2019 students at the Faculty of Psychology at Medan Area University. This research method uses a comparative quantitative approach. Samples in this study are 60 people. Sampling techniques in this study by purposive sampling. Data collection used a lycert scaling method through social loafing scaling as measured by 5 social loafing aspects. Data analysis techniques using one-track anova analysis techniques, obtained a significant result of one-track anova p = 0.001 < 0.050, this means the obtained significance value is smaller than 0.050. The research hypothesis is that there is a difference in social loathing from Batak Toba and Java tribes in the 2019 STambuk students at the Faculty of Psychology at Medan Area University, assuming that the social loathing of Batak Toba tribe is lower than that of the social loafing of the Java tribe. Based on the results of hypothetical and empirical average calculations it is possible to obtain social loathing of the Batak Toba tribe with an SD of 7.312, a hypothetical mean value of 80 and an empirical mean value of 59.67, then be in the low category. Meanwhile, the social loaning of the Java tribe has a primary school of 11.632, with a hypothetical average of 80 and an empirical average of 68.73, and then a moderate category. Therefore the stated hypothesis is accepted.
