Abstract: Proses pembelajaran akan berlangsung secara menarik, terarah dan sesuai dengan apa yang ingin dicapai jika proses pembelajaran dapat tercipta secara efektif dengan menggunakan permainan. Bermain merupakan sarana belajar anak karena melalui bermain inilah sesungguhnya anak belajar. Bermain dapat membantu mengembangkan seluruh aspek perkembangan anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh pada permainan tarik upik:(1) Untuk mengetahui deskripsi pengaruh permainant radisional “tarik upih” terhadap keberanian pada anak usia dini, (2) Untuk mengetahui deskripsi pengaruh permainan tradisional “Tarik upih” terhadap perkembangan sosial pada anak usia dini, (3) Untuk mengetahui perbedaan tingkat perkembangan sosial keberanian pada anak usia dini. Adapun sampel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah 34 siswa di TK Husnul Husna Kota Binjai. Pemilihan sampel dalam penelitian menggunakan teknik purpotive sampling. Dalam penelitian ini teknik analisis Wilcoxon. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh: (1) rata-rata pre-test keberanian anak usia dini adalah sebesar 11,1 sedangkan nilai rata-rata post-test sebesar 17,6 Skor pada variabel ini mengalami peningkatan sebesar 6,5. (2) rata-rata pre-test perkembangan sosial anak usia dini adalah sebesar 16,7 sedangkan nilai rata-rata post-test sebesar 24,2. Skor pada variabel ini mengalami peningkatan sebesar 7,5. (3) signifikansi kedua variabel sebesar 0,000 yang mengartikan bahwa p < 0,005. Makna dari hasil tersebut adalah hipotesis diterima. Beradasarkan hasil penelitian, disimpulkan, bahwa permainan tradisional tarik upih mengalami peningkatan terhadap aspek keberanian dan perkembangan sosial. The learning process will take place in an interesting, directed and in accordance with what is to be achieved if the learning process can be created effectively by using games. Play is a means of learning for children because it is through playing that children actually learn. Play can help develop all aspects of a child's development. This study aims to see the effect of the pull upik game: (1) To find out the description of the effect of the traditional game "tarik upih" on courage in early childhood, (2) To find out the description of the effect of the traditional game "Tarik upih" on social development in young children. early childhood, (3) To determine the difference in the level of social development of courage in early childhood. The samples used in this research were 34 students in Husnul Husna Kindergarten, Binjai City. The sample selection in this study used a purposive sampling technique. In this research Wilcoxon analysis technique. Based on the results of the study, it was obtained: (1) the average pre-test of early childhood courage was 11.1 while the post-test average value of 17.6 The score on this variable increased by 6.5. (2) the average pre-test of early childhood social development is 16.7 while the post-test average is 24.2. The score on this variable has increased by 7.5. (3) the significance of the two variables is 0.000 which means that p < 0.005. The meaning of these results is that the hypothesis is accepted. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that the traditional game of Tarik Upih has increased in terms of courage and social development.
