Abstract: Tujuan penelitian ini ialah analisis perubahan massa dan ukuran diameter rata-rata spesimen beton silinder yang dilapisi oleh komposit laminat jute (KLJ), analisis jenis bahan yang dihasilkan berdasarkan grafik hasil uji tekan dan pola kerusakan spesimen beton silinder yang dilapisi KLJ, dan analisis perubahan kekuatan tekan struktur beton yang diperkuat KLJ. Metode yang dipergunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah metode vacuum baging. Hasil yang diperoleh ialah pemberian selubung KLJ pada spesimen tidak menyebabkan perubahan ukuran diameter yang signifikan terhadap spesimen kolom beton silinder. Dari bentuk grafik yang dihasilkan tidak memperlihatkan titik proporsional, titik luluh dan bahkan titik kepatahan/kerusakan yang jelas dan cenderung berbentuk garis lurus. Dengan demikian bahan yang dihasilkan tergolong sebagai bahan getas. Kekuatan tekan maksimum rata-rata diperoleh pada jumlah selubung KLJ sebanyak 3 lapis, yaitu 23.84 MPa atau mengalami peningkatan kekuatan tekan rata-rata hingga 40 % terhadap spesimen tanpa selubung. Dengan demikian, selubung KLJ baru bisa memberikan peningkatan kekuatan yang signifikan pada jumlah selubung lebih dari 1 lapis. The method used in this research is the vacuum bagging method. The results obtained are that the application of the KLJ sheath on the specimen did not cause a significant change in the diameter size of the cylindrical concrete column specimen. From the resulting graph, it does not show a clear proportional point, yield point and even the point of failure/damage and tends to be in the form of a straight line. Thus the resulting material is classified as a brittle material. The average maximum compressive strength was obtained at the number of KLJ sheaths as much as 3 layers, which was 23.84 MPa or an increase in the average compressive strength of up to 40% of the specimens without sheathing. Thus, the new KLJ sheath can provide a significant increase in strength in cases of more than 1 layer of sheath.
