Hubungan Body Image Dengan Life Satisfication Pada Mahasiswi Psikologi Di Universitas Medan Area

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan antara Body Image dengan Life Satisfication pada Mahasiswi Psikologi Universitas Medan Area, dimana jumlah yang dijadikan sebagai subjek penelitian berjumlah 68 orang. Hipotesis yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini berbunyi : ada hubungan positif antara Body Image dengan Life Satisfication pada Mahasiswi Psikologi Universitas Medan Area. Artinya semakin tinggi Body Image maka akan semakin tinggi Life Satisfication pada Mahasiswi Psikologi Universitas Medan Area, dan sebaliknya semakin rendah Body Image maka semakin rendah juga life satisfication pada Mahasiswi Universitas Medan Area. Metode analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik korelasi product moment, dimana berdasarkan analisis diperoleh dari hasil-hasil sebagai berikut terdapat hubungan positif antara Body Image dengan Life Satisfication. Hasil ini dibuktikan dengan koefisien korelasi =0,473 berdasarkan hasil tersebut maka hipotesis yang telah diajukan dalam penelitian ini, dinyatakan diterima. Koefisien determinasi =0,224 menunjukkan bahwa life satisfication dibentuk oleh Body Image sebesar 22,4%, selanjutnya dilihat dari perhitungan mean hipotetik =68 dan mean empirik =71,28 serta standar deviasi =10,867 diketahui bahwa life satisfication dalam katekori sedang. Sedangkan Body Image dari perhitungan mean hipotetik =67,5 dan mean empirik =66,68 serta standar deviasi =10,462 diketahui bahwa Body Image dalam kategori sedang. This study aims to look at the relationship between Body Image and Life Satisfication on Psychology Students at Medan Area University, where the number of subjects used as research subjects amounted to 68 people. The hypothesis proposed in this study reads that there is a positive relationship between Body Image and Life Satisfication on Psychology Students at Medan Area University. This means that the higher the Body Image, the higher the Life. Satisfication for Psychology Students at Medan Area University, and vice versa, the lower the Boch Image, the lower the life satisfication for Medan Area University students. The analytical method used in this research is the product.moinent correlation technique. where based on the analysis obtained from the following results there is a positive relationship between Bodh Image and Life Satisfication. This result is evidenced by the correlation coefficient =0,473 based on these results, the hypothesis that has been proposed in this study, is declared accepted. The coefficient of determination =0.224 indicates that the life satisfication formed by the Body Image is =22.4%, then seen from the calculation of the hypothetical mean -68 and the mean empirically =71.28 and standard deviation =10.867, it is known that life satisfication is in the medium category. Meanwhile, Boch Image and the calculation of the hypothetical mean is =675 and the empirical mean is =66.68 and the standard deviation is -10 462. It is known that Boch Image is in the medium category.
