Abstract: PT. Domas Agrointi Prima adalah pabrik yang bergerak dalam produksi Fatty Alcohol. Dalam proses produksi mesin yang digunakan dalam pembuatan Fatty Alcohol di PT. Domas Agrointi Prima menghasilkan kebisingan di area produksi. Penelitian ini bertujuan agar mengetahui tingkat kebisingan, area paparan kebisingan dan analisis penyebab kebisingan serta usulan pengendalian kebisingan dilantai produksi. Kemudian, metode pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi menggunakan metode tingkat kebisingan ekuivalen (Leq) dan pemaparan kebisingan melalui Software surfer 16. Pengumpulan data dilakukan di area produksi dengan 18 titik pengukuran. Selanjutnya, hasil dari pengukuran tingkat kebisingan yang tinggi ada beberapa Area, yaitu Area A (area Mesin produksi Fatty Alcohol) Area A (area pengoperasian unit Fraksinasi dan Destilasi section 112) terdapat titik-titik pengukuran yang melebihi nilai ambang batas yaitu titik 1 (85,7) dB, titik 2 (85,7) dB, dan titik 3 (88,0) dB. Area B (area pengoperasian unit Hydrogen Generation/Mahler section 114) terdapat titik pengukuran yang melebihi nilai ambang batas yaitu titik 4 (86,1) dB, titik 5 (86,7) dB, dan titik 6 (86,7) dB. Area C (area pengoperasian unit Carbonil Conversion section 113) terdapat titik-titik pengukuran yaitu titik 7 (91,9) dB, titik 8 (92,9) dB, dan titik 9 (86,1) dB. Area D (area pengoperasian unit Wax Ester Preperation section 110) terdapat titik-titik pengukuran yaitu titik 10 (89,9) dB dan titik 11 (87,4) dB. Area E (area pengoperasian unit OTH burner section 115) terdapat titik-titik pengukuran yaitu titik 12 (85,1) dB, titik 13 (85,0) dB, titik 14 (85,7) dB dan titik 15 (84,6) dB. Area F (area pengoperasian unit Wax Ester Hydrogenation section 111) terdapat titik-titik pengukuran yaitu titik 16 (85,7) dB, titik 17 (83,0) dB dan titik 18 (85,2) dB. Dan titik yang tidak melebihi nilai ambang batas hanya yaitu titik pada area E (area pengoperasian unit OTH burner section 115) yaitu titik 15 (84,6) dB dan Area F (area pengoperasian unit Wax Ester Hydrogenation section 111) titik 17 (83,0) dB. Sedangkan nilai ambang batas yang diizinkan oleh Peraturan Mentri Tenaga Kerja dan Transmigari Republik Indonesia No.Per.13/MEN/X/2011 adalah 85 dB. Dengan demikian, memperhatikan Exhaust atau saluran gas buang pada mesin ini sangat diperhitungkan sekali karena jika tidak efek kebisingannya paling berpengaruh apalagi untuk mesin yang besar. Biasanya pada saluran buang mempunyai alat peredam suara dan untuk mengurangi kebisingan biasanya digunakan cerobong gas buang tinggi. PT Domas Agrointi Prima is a private owned company producing Fatty Alcohol. During production process, machines used in production in PT. Domas Agrointi Prima produce noises in production area. This research focused to better understanding the noise level, noise exposure area and cause analysis of noises and how to control noises in production floor. Data were collected from direct observation using noise level equivalent (Leq) and noise exposure Software Surfer 16. Measurement was taken from 18 points. The observation result shows high noise in some area, such as Area A (Fatty Alcohol production area) Area A (Fractionation and Distillation Section 12) had some noise measurement exceeding threshold value, which were point 1 (85,7) dB, point 2 (85,7) dB, and point 3 (88,0) dB. Area B (Operational unit Hydrogen Generation/Mahler Section 114) had several points exceeding threshold value as well, which were point 4 (86,1) dB, point 5 (86,7) dB, and point 6 (86,7) dB. Area C (Carbonil Conversion Section 113) had several measurement points such as point 7 (91,9) dB, point 8 (92,9) dB, and point 9 (86,1) dB. Area D (Wax Esther Preparation section 110) had several measurement points such as point 10 (89,9) dB, and point 11 (87,4) dB. Area E (Operational unit of OTH Burner section 115) had point 12 (85,1) dB, point 13 (85,0) dB, point 14 (85,7) dB and point 15 (84,6) dB. Area F (operational unit Wax Esther Hydrogenation section 111) had some measurement points such as point 16 (85,7) dB, point 17 (83,0) dB and point 18 (85,2) dB. The only points below threshold value were in area E (OTH burner section 115) which were point 15 (84,6) dB and area F (Wax Esther Hydrogenation section 111) point 17 (83,0) dB. The maximum allowable noise threshold value based on Regulation of Indonesian Minister of Manpower No.Per.13/MEN/X/2011 is 85 dB. Therefore exhaust in these machines are very important since it will affect the noise produced. The bigger the machine, the higher its impact. Generally in machine exhausts, they have noise filter to reduce noise level they use high exhaust outlet.
