Abstract: Indonesia merupakan negara yang berdasarkan atas hokum. Salah satu kebijakan untuk membantu kebutuhan masyarakat, pemerintah melakukan kebijakan dengan cara Subsidi Gas LPG (Liquified Petroleum Gas). Namun dalam penerapannya sering terjadi penyalahgunaan dalam peruntukan gas LPG subsidi yang dilakukan oleh pelaku usaha sehingga merugikan negara dan masyarakat secara khusus. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, adapun yang menjadi perumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini : Bagaimana pengaturan tindak pidana pengoplosan gas LPG (Liquified Petroleum Gas). Bagaimana peran kepolisian dalam menangani tindak pidana pengoplosan gas LPG (Liquified Petroleum Gas). Bagaimana kendala yang dihadapi kepolisian dalam menangani tindak pidana pengoplosan gas LPG (Liquified Petroleum Gas). Penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian hukum normatif. Sifat penelitian ini adalah deskriptif analitis dengan pendekatan perundang-undangan (Statuta Approach) dan analisis kasus (Case Study) dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif untuk dapat ditarik kesimpulan secara deduktif. Dari hasil penelitian diketahui, peran kepolisian dalam penanganan tindak pidana pengoplosan gas LPG (Liquified Petroleum Gas) terletak pada tahap penyelidikan dan penyidikan. Kendala yang dihadapi penyidik kepolisian dalam upaya penanganan tindak pidana pengoplosan gas LPG sebagai berikut Kendala internal yakni Keterbatasan personil penyelidik maupun penyidik untuk melakukan penyelidikan maupun penyidikan tindak pidana pengoplosan gas LPG (Liquified Petroleum Gas), Pengaduan Masyarakat (Dumas), Intervensi, Kemampuan personil Ditkrimsus yang terbatas dalam menangani Tidak Pidana Pengoplosan Gas LPG (Liquified Petroleum Gas), Anggaran penanganan perkara yang minim, Proses pengumpulan barang bukti yang sulit ditemukan dan diperlukannya ahli yang mengetahui persoalan pengoplosan Gas LPG (Liquified Petroleum Gas). Kendala eksternal antara lain Bukti tindak pidana sulit diperoleh, Intervensi dari luar instansi, Adanya keberatan atau pengaduan masyarakat (dumas). Indonesia is a country based on law. One of the policies to help the needs of the community, the government implements a policy by way of LPG Gas Subsidies (Liquified Petroleum Gas). However, in its application there is often abuse in the allotment of subsidized LPG gas by business actors so that it is detrimental to the state and society in particular. Based on this, the problem formulation in this study is: How to regulate the criminal act of mixing LPG (Liquified Petroleum Gas). What is the role of the police in handling criminal acts of mixing LPG (Liquified Petroleum Gas). What are the obstacles faced by the police in dealing with criminal acts of mixing LPG (Liquified Petroleum Gas). The research used is normative legal research. The nature of this research is analytical descriptive with the statutory approach (Statute Approach) and case analysis (Case Study) using qualitative methods to deductively draw conclusions. From the research, it is known that the role of the police in handling the criminal act of mixing LPG (Liquified Petroleum Gas) lies in the investigation and investigation stage. The obstacles faced by police investigators in handling criminal acts of mixing LPG gas are as follows: Internal constraints, namely the limitations of investigator and investigator personnel to carry out investigations and investigations into criminal acts of mixing LPG gas (Liquified Petroleum Gas), Public Complaints (Dumas), Intervention, the ability of Ditkrimsus personnel which is limited in handling Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG), minimal case handling budget, the process of collecting evidence that is difficult to find and the need for experts who know the problem of mixing LPG (Liquified Petroleum Gas). External obstacles include evidence of a criminal act that is difficult to obtain, intervention from outside agencies, objections or complaints from the public (dumas).
