Hubungan Antara Kepercayaan Diri Dengan Kecemasan Pada Mahasiswa Psikologi Yang Akan Menghadapi Skripsi Di Universitas Medan Area

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan antara kepercayaan diri dengan kecemasan pada Mahasiswa Psikologi yang akan menghadapi skripsi. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian korelasi. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah Mahasiswa Psikologi Semester VII yang akan menghadapi seminar proposal atau menyelesaikan skripsi yang berjumlah 75 orang. Untuk menentukan jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dan yang menjadi sampel penelitian ini berjumlah 75 orang. Hasil uji validitas pada variabel penelitian kepercayaan diri dan kecemasan diperoleh hasil bahwa terdapat 1 dan 2 item gugur dari masing-masing variabel. Uji reliabilitas menggunakan Alpha Cronbach yang menghasilkan hasil uji reliabilitas sebesar 0,914 untuk variable kepercayaan diri dan 0,955 untuk variabel kecemasan. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan Korelasi Product Moment, diketahui bahwa terdapat hubungan hubungan negatif yang signifikan antara kepercayaan diri dengan variabel kecemasan dimana Rxy = - 0,312 dengan tingkat (ρ) sebesar 0,003 sehingga ρ < 0,05. Hal ini menunjukkan hipotesi nol (Ho) diterima, yang menujukan adanya dengan hubungan negatif antara kepercayaan diri dengan kecemasan, dengan asumsi semakin rendah kepercayaan diri maka akan semakin tinggi kecemasan pada Mahasiswa Psikologi yang akan menghadapi skripsi dan hasil perhitungan koefisien determinan (r^2) dari hubungan antara kepercayaan diri dan kecemasan yaitu 9,73%. Dari hasil ini diketahui bahwa masih terdapat 90,27% peran dari faktor lain terhadap kecemasan. This study aims to see the relationship between self-confidence and anxiety in Psychology Students who will face their thesis. The research approach used is a quantitative approach with the type of correlation research. The population in this study were the seventh semester psychology students who would face a proposal seminar or complete a thesis, totaling 75 people. To determine the number of samples in this study using purposive sampling technique and the sample of this study amounted to 75 people. The results of the validity test on the research variables of self-confidence and anxiety showed that there were 1 and 2 items missing from each variable. Reliability test using Alpha Cronbach which produces reliability test results of 0.914 for the variable confidence and 0.955 for the variable anxiety. Based on the results of the calculation of Product Moment Correlation, it is known that there is a significant negative relationship between self-confidence and the anxiety variable where Rxy = - 0.312 with a level (ρ) of 0.003 so that ρ <0.05. This shows that the null hypothesis (Ho) is accepted, which indicates that there is a negative relationship between self-confidence and anxiety, assuming that the lower the self-confidence, the higher the anxiety of the Psychology Students who will face the thesis and the calculation of the determinant coefficient (r ^ 2) of the relationship between self-confidence and anxiety, namely 9.73%. From these results it is known that there are still 90.27% of the role of other factors on anxiety.
