Abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan promosi jabatan dengan motivasi kerja pada karyawan Bank Mandiri Cabang Ahmad Yani. Motivasi kerja adalah kondisi atau energi yang menggerakkan diri karyawan yang terarah atau tertuju untuk mencapai tujuan organisasi perusahaan yang menimbulkan semangat atau dorongan untuk bekerja. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 42 orang, teknik pengambilan sampel dengan metode total sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan model skala likert. Teknik analisis yang dilakukan menggunakan korelasi Product Moment. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan koefisien korelasi rxy = 0,758 dengan p = 0,000 (p<0,050), artinya ada hubungan positif antara promosi jabatan dengan motivasi kerja. Dengan hasil tersebut, hipotesis penelitian ini yaitu ada hubungan positif promosi jabatan dengan motivasi kerja dapat diterima. Nilai koefisien korelasi positif menunjukkan bahwa arah hubungan variabel positif, artinya semakin tinggi/sering promosi jabatan dilakukan maka semakin tinggi motivasi kerja. Motivasi kerja memberikan sumbangan efektif sebesar 57,4% pada motivasi kerja dan sebesar 42,6% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain yang tidak diteliti dalam penelitian ini yaitu seperti faktor eksternal dan internal, pendidikan, pengalaman, karakteristik individu serta kepuasan kerja. Mean empirik motivasi kerja yaitu 98,60 sedangkan mean empirik promosi jabatan sebesar 89,19, untuk mean hipotetik motivasi kerja sebesar 85 dan mean hipotetik promosi jabatan sebesar 75. This study aims to determine the correlation between job promotion and work motivation on employees of Bank Mandiri Ahmad Yani Branch. Work motivation is a condition or energy that moves employees who are directed or aimed at achieving the goals of the company organization, and this energy creates enthusiasm or encouragement to work. This study uses a quantitative approach. The sample of this study was 42 people, the sampling technique was the total sampling method. This study uses a Likert scale model. The analysis technique used is Product Moment Correlation. The results of this study indicate the correlation coefficient of rxy = 0.758 with p = 0.000 (p <0.050), meaning that there is a positive relationship between job promotion and work motivation. With these results, The hypothesis in this study is that there is a positive relationship between job promotion and work motivation is acceptable. The positive correlation coefficient value indicates that the direction of the relationship between the two variables is positive, meaning that the higher / often a promotion is carried out, the higher the work motivation. Work motivation gave an effective contribution of 57.4% to work motivation and 42.6% was influenced by other factors not examined in this study, such as external and internal factors, education, experience, individual characteristics and job satisfaction. The empirical mean of the work motivation variable obtained is 98.60, while the empirical mean of the job promotion variable is 89.19, then the hypothetical mean of the work motivation variable is 85 and the hypothetical mean of the job promotion variable is 75.
