Abstract: Telah dilakukan penelitian di Desa Aek Matio Kelurahan Silandorung, Kecamatan Rantau Utara Kabupaten Labuhan Batu dengan topografi tanah datar, jenis tanah Alluvial dengan ketinggian tempat 40 m dpl, dan dilaksanakan pada bulan Juni sampai dengan bulan September 2008. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok ( RAK ) Faktorial dengan 2 faktor yakni faktor waktu kastrasi terdiri dari 4 taraf yakni K0 ( tanpa kastrasi ), K1 ( kastrasi 6 hari sejak bunga jantan keluar ), K2 ( kastrasi 9 hari sejak bunga jantan keluar ) dan K3 ( kastrasi 12 hari sejak bunga jantan keluar ) dan faktor varietas terdiri dari 3 taraf yakni V 1 ( varietas Prima I ), V2 ( varietas Bisi-16 ), dan V3 ( varietas N-35 ), dengan 3 ulangan. Research has been carried out in Aek Matio Village, Silandorung Village, Rantau Utara District, Labuhan Batu Regency with flat topography, Alluvial soil types with a height of 40 m asl, and carried out from June to September 2008. In this study using a randomized block design ( RAK) Factorial with 2 factors, namely castration time factor consisting of 4 levels, namely K0 (without castration), K1 (castration 6 days after the male flower came out), K2 (castration 9 days after the male flower came out) and K3 (castration 12 days after the flower came out) males came out) and the variety factor consisted of 3 levels, namely V 1 (Prima I variety), V2 (Bisi-16 variety), and V3 (N-35 variety), with 3 replications.
