Abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan antara dukungan soial peer group dengan kepatuhan tata tertib pada siswa kelas VIII SMP Ar-rahman Medan. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII sebanyak 80 orang, dengan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan total sampling yakni pengambilan sampel dimana jumlah sampel sama dengan populasi. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan dua skala Likert, yaitu skala dukungan sosial peer group dan skala kepatuhan tata tertib. Uji analisis data menggunakan teknik korelasi (rxy) diperoleh hasilsebesar 0,529 dengan signifikan p = 0,000 < 0,05. Artinya hipotesis yang diajukan diterima yaitu terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara dukungan sosial peer group dengan kepatuhan tata tertib pada siswa. Dukungan sosial peer group tergolong tinggi hal ini ditunjukkan dengan mean empirik = 114,83 > mean hipotetik 85 dimana selisihnya melebihi bilangan satu SD = 14,790. Kepatuhan tata tertib juga tergolong tinggi hal ini ditunjukkan dengan mean empirik = 116,63 > mean hipotetik 87.5 dimna selisihnya melebihi bilangan satu SD = 14.573. Adapun koefisien determinasi dari korelasi tersebut sebesar r2 = 0,280 artinya dukungan sosial peer group memberikan sumbangan efektif terhadap kepatuhan tata tertib sebesar 28%. The study aims to look at the relationship between socia support of peer group with obedience with school’s rules in class VIII students of SMP Ar-Rahman Medan. The subjects in this study were 80 grade VII student. The sampling technique uses total sampling, which is sampling where the number of smples is equal to the population. Data was collected using two Likert scales, namely social support of peer group scale and the obedience with rules scale. Test data analysis using correlation techniques (rxy) obtain results of 0,529 with a siqnificant p = 0,000 < 0,05. This means that the proposed hypothesis is accepted, that there is a positive and significant relationship between social support of peer group and obedience with rules. The social support of peer groupis also quite high, this is indicated by an empirical mean of 114,83 > a hypothetical mean of 85 where the difference exceeds the SD = 14,790. The obedience with school’s rules also quite high, this indicated by an empirical mean of 116.63 > a hypothetical mean of 87.5 where the difference exceeds the SD = 14.573. The determination coefficient of the correlation of r2= 0,280 means that social support of peer group contributes effectively to obedience by 28%.
