Abstract: Sari Devi Silalahi Npm 158210093 "The Response of Pearl NPK Fertilizer and POC Apu Apu (Pistia stratiotes L.) To Growth and Production of Cucumber Plants (Cucumis sativus L.)". This thesis is under the guidance of Dr. Ir. Syahbudin Hasibuan, M. Si as the head of discussion and Mrs. Prof. Dr. Retna Astuti. K, MS as a supervisor. This research is located in the Kebun Percobaan of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Medan. 1 Medan Estate, Percut Seituan sub-district with a height of 22 meters above sea level flat topography and alluvial soil types. This research was conducted in May 2019 until July 2019. The purpose of this study was to determine how the response of NPK Mutiara inorganic fertilizers and Liquid Organic Fertilizers to the growth and production of cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.). This research was designed with factorial randomized block design (RBD) consisting of 2 treatment factors, namely: (1). NPK fertilizer consisting of 4 treatment levels, namely: N0 = Pearl NPK fertilizer at a dose of 300 kg / ha (30 gr / plot), N1 = Pearl NPK fertilizer at a dose of 400 kg / ha (40 gr / plot), N2 = Fertilizer NPK Mutiara at a dose of 500 kg / ha (50 gr / plot), N3 = NPK Mutiara Fertilizer at a dose of 600 kg / ha (60 gr / plot); (2). Apu-apu Liquid Organic Fertilizer (POC) which consists of 4 levels, namely A0 = 0% liquid organic fertilizer Apu-apu / 1 liter of water, A1 = 25% liquid organic fertilizer Apu-apu / 1 liter of water, A2 = 50 % liquid organic fertilizer Apu-apu / 1 liter of water, A3 = 75% liquid organic fertilizer Apu-apu / 1 liter of water. Each treatment was repeated 2 times to produce 32 experimental plots. Each experimental plot consisted of 6 plants with 3 samples. The parameters observed were: Plant Height, Stem Diamater (cm), Number of Fruits (fruits) per sample, Fruit Length (cm) Per sample, Fruit Diameter (cm) Per sample, Weight of Fruits Per Plot (gr). The results of this study were the giving of NPK Mutiara and significantly affected the height, stem diameter, number of fruits, fruit length and fruit weight per cucumber plant plot. Application of Liquid Organic Fertilizer (POC) Apu apu significantly affects the height, diameter, fruit length and fruit weight per plot. The effect of interaction between NPK and POC Apu apu fertilizer treatment significantly affected the parameters of the number of fruits and weight of the fruit per plot of cucumber plants.

Dibimbingan oleh bapak Dr. Ir. Syahbudin Hasibuan, M. Si sebagai ketua pembingmbing dan Ibu Prof. Dr. Retna Astuti . K, MS selaku anggota pembimbing. Penelitian ini berlokasi di Kebun Percobaan fakultas pertanian Universitas Medan Area Jalan kolam No. 1 Medan Estate, kecamatan percut seituan dengan ketinggian tempat 22 meter diatas permukaan laut topografi datar dan jenis tanah alluvial. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada Bulan Mei 2019 sampai Juli 2019. Tujuan penelitian untuk Mengetahui bagaimana respon pemberian pupuk anorganik NPK Mutiara dan Pupuk Organik Cair terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman mentimun (Cucumis sativus L.). Penelitian di rancang dengan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) Faktorial yang terdiri dari 2 Faktor perlakuan, yaitu : (1). Pupuk NPK yang terdiri dari 4 Taraf perlakuan, Yaitu : N0=Pupuk NPK Mutiara dengan dosis 300 kg/ha (30 gr/plot), N1 = Pupuk NPK Mutiara dengan dosis 400 kg/ha (40 gr/plot), N2= Pupuk NPK Mutiara dengan dosis 500 kg/ha (50 gr/plot), N3= Pupuk NPK Mutiara dengan dosis 600 kg/ha (60 gr/plot); (2). Pupuk Organik Cair (POC) Apu-apu yang terdiri dari 4 taraf yaitu A0 =0 % pupuk organik cair tanaman Apuapu/ 1 liter air, A1 =25 % pupuk organik cair tanaman Apu-apu/1 liter air, A2 = 50 % pupuk organik cair tanaman Apu-apu/1 liter air, A3 = 75 % pupuk organik cair tanaman Apu-apu/1 liter air. Masing masing perlakuan di ulang 2 kali sehingga menghasilkan 32 plot percobaan. Setiap plot percobaan terdiri dari 6 tanaman dengan 3 sampel. Parameter yang diamati yaitu : Tinggi Tanaman, Diamater Batang (cm), Jumlah Buah (buah) per sampel, Panjang Buah (cm) Per sampel, Diameter Buah (cm) Per sampel, Berat Buah Per Plot (gr). Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah Pemberian NPK Mutiara dan berpengaruh nyata pada pada tinggi, diameter batang, jumlah buah, panjang buah dan berat buah per plot tanaman mentimun. Pemberian Pupuk Organik Cair (POC) Apu apu berpengaruh nyata pada tinggi, diameter, panjang buah dan berat buah per plot. Pengaruh interaksi perlakuan pupuk NPK dan POC Apu apu berpengaruh nyata pada parameter jumlah buah dan berat buah per Plot tanaman mentimun.
