Hubungan antara Self Efficacy dengan Kebermaknaan Hidup pada Pasien Gagal Ginjal Kronik yang Menjalani Hemodialisis di Rumah Sakit Khusus Ginjal Rasyida Medan

Abstract

This study aims to find out relationship between self-efficacy and meaning of life. The hypothesis proposed in this study states that there is a positive relationship between self-efficacy and meaning of life, assuming that the higher is self efficacy, the higher meaning of life will be and conversely the lower is the self-efficacy, the lower will the meaning of life be. The subjects of this patients undergoing hemodialysis in a special hospital kidney rasyida, Medan consisting of 50 people drawn by using purposive sampling technique. Data were obtained from a scale to measure life-efficacy. The calculation was performed by a pre-requisite test analysis (assumption test) consisting of normality test and linearity test. Data analysis was performed by using Product Moment Correlation Analysis through SPSS 18 for Windows. The results of data analysis showed that r = 0,742 and p = 0.000 (p <0.05), which indicates that there is a positive relationship between self-efficacy and meaning of life. The results of this study indicate that the contribution of (R2) to the variable of self-efficacy on the meaning of life is 55,1% percent, while the remaining 44,9 % percent is influenced by other factors not examined in this study. Based on these results, it is concluded that the hypothesis is aceepted, and there is a positive relationship between self-efficacy and meaning of life.
