Abstract: The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between organizational support with employee engagement Government Employee of North Sumatra Provincial Education Office. The method used in this research is quantitative method. The subjects in this study were 64 Government Employees in the North Sumatra Provincial Education Office with a 10year work period using a purposive sampling technique, where the sample was selected based on certain characteristics or traits. This research was arranged based on the Likert scale method using the scale of organizational support according to Eisenberger and Rhoades (2002), namely justice, superiors' support, organizational rewards and working conditions. This study also uses the Employe Engagement scale according to Schaufeli and Bakker (2004), the aspects of which are vigor, dedication and absorption. The analysis showed the reliability coefficient of Organizational Support 0.932 and Employee Engagement 0.933. Analysis of the data uses the correlation r Product Moment (rxy = 0.610; p = 0.000 <0.05. Where the determinant coefficient (r² = 0.372). This shows that the higher the Organizational Support, the higher the Employee Engagement. Conversely, the lower the Organizational Support The lower the Employee Engagement, the Organizational Support contributed 37.2% of the Employee Engagement, so that the research hypothesis proposed in this study was accepted.
Description: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan antara Dukungan Organisasi dan Employee Engagement Pegawai Negeri Sipil di Dinas Pendidikan Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah para Pegawai Negeri Sipil di Dinas Pendidikan Provinsi Sumatera Utara sebanyak 64 pegawai dengan masa kerja 10 tahun dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, dimana sampel dipilih berdasarkan ciri-ciri atau sifat-sifat tertentu. Penelitian ini disusun berdasarkan metode skala Likert dengan menggunakan skala dukungan organisasi menurut Eisenberger dan Rhoades (2002) yaitu keadilan, dukungan atasan, penghargaan organisasi dan kondisi pekerjaan. Penelitian ini juga menggunakan skala Employe Engagement menurut Schaufeli dan Bakker (2004), aspek-aspek nya adalah vigor, dedication dan absorption. Hasil analisis menunjukkan koefisien reliabilitas Dukungan Organisasi 0,932 dan Employee Engagement 0,933. Analisis data menggunakan korelasi r Product Moment (rxy = 0,610; p= 0,000 < 0,05. Dimana koefisien determinan (r² = 0,372). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi Dukungan Organisasi, maka semakin tinggi Employee Engagement. Sebaliknya, semakin rendah Dukungan Organisasi, maka semakin rendah juga Employee Engagement. Dimana Dukungan Organisasi memberi sumbangsi sebesar 37,2% terhadap Employee Engagement. Dengan demikian hipotesis yang telah diajukan dalam penelitian ini diterima.
