Self Esteem pada Wanita yang Bekerja Sebagai Wanita Tuna Susila

Abstract

This research is a qualitative study with a phenomenological approach to the goal of knowing self esteem descriptions a women who work in prostitution and the factors that cause them to work in prostitution. Respondents of this research amounted to 3 women aged 18-40 years old who worked in prostitution. The data retrieval techniques done is to use interviews and observation techniques. The results of the study gained that respondents I (TS) had been working for 5 years in prostitution and the factors that caused her to be slut were due to pornography and poverty. Respondent II (SS) has worked in the localization since 90’s and the factors that cause SS to work in prostitution are economic or poverty factors. While the respondentIII (AN) has been working for 7 years and the factor that causes it is poverty. The conclusion of the research is the TS on moderate self esteem characteristics. While the SS and AN are on low self esteem characteristics.
