Abstract: This study aims to look at the relationship of self-concept with confidence in class X students at MAN 2 Model Medan. The subjects in this study were 54th grade X students. The sampling technique uses proportionate stratified random sampling technique. Data retrieval is done by using two scales, namely the scale of self-concept and self-confidence scale. Data analysis using correlation techniques (rxy) of 0.458 with p = 0.000 <0.050, meaning that there is a positive and significant relationship between self-concept and self-confidence in class X students, which shows that the higher the student's self-concept, the higher his self-confidence. Conversely the lower the student's self-concept, the lower his self-confidence. The self-concept of class X students in this study in MAN 2 Medan Model is classified as high because (empirical mean = 69.20> hypothetical mean = 57.5 where the difference exceeds SD = 7.875). And confidence is also relatively high, because (empirical mean = 98.93> hypothetical mean = 82.5 where the difference exceeds SD number = 9,964). The coefficient of determination of the correlation of r2 = 0.306 means that religiosity makes an effective contribution to self-confidence of 20.9%. And there are 79.1% other factors that influence confidence that are not examined in this study. Other factors related to self-confidence such as confidence and self-ability, optimistic, objective, responsible, rational and realistic. The results of this study are consistent with the results of research in the field.
