Hubungan antara Konsep Diri dengan Kecenderungan Gaya Hidup Hedonis pada Siswa Kelas XII SMA Negeri 4 Medan

Abstract

The aim of this studies is to look at the relationship between self-concept and hedonic lifestyle in high school students 4 Medan. The hypothesis proposed there is a negative relationship between self-concept and hedonic lifestyle in class XII SMA Negeri 4 Medan as many as 320 students. The technique of taking data samples is to use purposive sampling obtained from the screening results that have been done. The data collection method is a scale of Self Concept and Hedonism Lifestyle. Data analysis uses Product Moment analysis. Research Results 1. There is a significant relationship between Self Concept and Lifestyle Hedonism. This is shown from the coefficient rxy = 0.325; p = 0.041 <0.050.01 which means that the lower the Self-Concept the higher the Hedonism Lifestyle Trend. Based on the results of this study, the proposed hypothesis was declared accepted. 2. There is a contribution of Self Concept and Hedonism Lifestyle of 11.3%. From these results it is known that there are still 88.7% there are other factors not examined in this researcher. Other factors known from the Hedonism Lifestyle are internal factors which include attitudes, experiences, personalities, and self-concepts, and external factors which include reference groups, families, social classes, and culture. It can be said that the subjects of this study are the grade XII students of SMA Negeri 4 Medan who have moderate Self Concepts and have a Hedonism Lifestyle Trend that is classified as high.
