Hubungan Harga Diri dan Motivasi Belajar Dengan Perilaku Adiktif Terhadap Facebook Siswa SMP Megeri 1 Karang Baru Aceh Tamiang

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out the relationship of self-esteem and learning motivation of student’s addictive behaviour in using facebook of SMP N Karang Baru. The hypothesis are 1) There is a relationship of self-esteem with addictive behaviors facebook junior high school students, 2) There is a relationship between motivation to learn with addictive behaviors facebook junior high school students, 3) There is a relationship of self-esteem and motivation to learn with facebook addictive behavior of junior high school students. The subjects were students SMPN 1 Karang Baru Aceh Tamiang facebook addictive behavior as much as 117 students. The data collection were done by using three scales: self-esteem, motivation learn and addictive behaviors by facebook. Data analysis method used is regression analysis. The results of the study are negative but insignificant relationship between self-esteem and motivation to learn with addictive behaviors facebook students SMPN 1 Karang Baru Aceh Tamiang. Results evidenced by F = 3.175 and P <0.05. This indicates that the higher the more positive self-esteem and motivation to learn, the lower facebook addictive behavior. Conversely the lower the self-esteem and motivation to learn, the more negative the higher facebook addictive behavior. Self-esteem contributes to addictive behaviors facebook by 2.8% and the motivation to learn to contribute to addictive behaviors facebook 3.6%. Self-esteem and motivation toward addictive behaviors facebook at 5,3%, this means that there are 94.7 % of other factors that can affect the behavior of addictive facebook.
