Abstract: Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di PTPN II Tanjung Morawa, yang dimulai dari bulan september sampai oktober 2002 dan diumumkan pada tanggar 20 Mai 2002. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah unruk mengetahui kerapatan hama tikus sebelum dan sesudah pengendalian secara kimia merupakan pengendalian dan efektif di Perkebunan Kelapa Sawit. Dalarn penelitian ini digunakan metode capture-Recapture, dengan 5 ulangan yaitu: setiap ulangan terdapat 25 perangkap hama tikus dalam 1 Ha dan 3-5 kg rodentisida Timat 402 Rm-B untuk setiap ulangan, Parameter yang diamati adalah jumlah hama tikus yang tertangkap/ diberi tanda, Jumlah hama tikus yang bertanda, jumlah hama tikus yang tidak bertanda, pengamatan dilakukan setiap hari hingga 2 minggu. This research was conducted at PTPN II Tanjung Morawa, which started from September to October 2002 and announced on 20 May 2002. The purpose of this study was to determine the density of rat pests before and after chemical control was a control and effective in oil palm plantations. In this study, the capture-recapture method was used, with 5 replications, namely: for each replication, there were 25 rat pest traps in 1 ha and 3-5 kg ​​of rodenticide Timat 402 Rm-B for each replication. Signs, number of marked rat pests, number of unmarked rat pests, observations were made every day for up to 2 weeks.
