Abstract: With the aim of research to determine the effectiveness of the use of various types of organic fertilizer on the growth and yield of cucumber (Curcumis sativus L.). research field trials conducted in the Faculty of Agriculture University Area Medan Jl. PBSI Medan Estate districts Percut Sei Tuan, Deli Serdang regency, with a height of 25 masl. This study was conducted from March to May 2016, using a randomized block design (RAK) Non Factorial, with 5 treatments, P0 = control (without fertilizer), P1 = Green Leaf Fertilizer Petai China, P2 = Fertilizer Liquid Waste Dregs Coconuts, P3 = Compost leaves, P4 = Cow Manure, The results showed that treatment P4 (Manure Cow) very significant effect on the number of leaves, and tall plants with P0 treatment (without fertilizer), P1 (Green Leaf Fertilizer Petai China), and P3 (Compost) at the age of 4 MST, but significantly different effect on the number of leaves and plant height with treatment P2 (Fertilizer, Pulp Waste Oil)
Description: Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui efektifitas penggunaan berbagai jenis pupuk organik terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman mentimun (Curcumis sativus L.). Penelitian dilakukan di lahan percobaan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Medan Area Jl. PBSI Medan Estate kecamatan Percut Sei Tuan Kabupaten Deli Serdang, dengan ketinggian 25 m dpl. Penelitian ini dilakukan dari bulan Maret-Mei 2016, menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) Non Faktorial, dengan 5 perlakuan yaitu P0 = kontrol (tanpa pupuk), P1 = Pupuk Hijau Daun Petai Cina, P2 = Pupuk Limbah Cair Ampas Kelapa, P3 = Pupuk Kompos Daun, P4 = Pupuk Kandang Sapi, dengan 4 ulangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan P4 (Pupuk Kandang Sapi) berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap jumlah daun, dan tinggi tanaman dengan perlakuan P0 (tanpa pupuk), P1 (Pupuk Hijau Daun Petai Cina), dan P3 (Pupuk Kompos) pada umur 4 MST, namun berpengaruh berbeda nyata terhadap jumlah daun dan tinggi tanaman dengan perlakuan P2 (Pupuk Cair Limbah Ampas Kelapa)
