dc.description.abstractPTP Nusantara PagarMerbau is a company engaged in the palm oil processing that producing crude palm oil (CPO) and palm kernel. In increasing the productivity, PTP Nusantara PagarMerbau as a manufacturing company applied preventive and corrective maintenance system. In fact, the result does not meet the expectation as can be seen from the high damage in Ripple mill machine. This study aims to investigate the problem by calculating Overall Equipment Effectiveness to express the availability, performance, and Ripple Mill machine quality for March 2015 to February 2016 and comparing with the OEE world class value (85%). The OEE value is a proper clue to identify the problems. Moreover, the six big losses calculation also employed to diagnose the problems. Pareto Diagram was conducted to show the most influencing six big losses factor and compare to the others. The outcome of the study expressed the opinion that the OEE value of Ripple Mill machine is about 23.59% - 37.82% and took the position under the OEE world class value (85%). Lack of OEE value was influenced by the low-performance rate that is about 25.40% - 40.71% and also under world class performance (95%). The primary factors of six big losses are reduced speed loss (77.89%) and breakdown loss (9.81%).en_US
