Abstract: This study aims to determine the effect of the residue from various sources and various manure on the growth and production of corn in black on the second cropping period. This study was undertaken at the same location the first planting period is in the village of the District Sampali Percut Sei Tuan, Deli Serdang, North Sumatra Province, held in July and September 2019. The method used in this study is a randomized block design (RAK) Factorial, with 2 (two) treatment factors, namely: 1) the treatment of a variety of sources biochar factor (B) consists of 4 levels, namely: B0 = Control (without using biochar), B1 = biochar rice husk 10 tons / ha (1.44 kg / m2), B2 = Biochar corncob 10 ton / ha (1.44 kg / m2), B3 = Biochar hazelnut shells 10 tons / ha (1.44 kg / m2), 2) treatment of various manure factor (K) consists of 4 levels, namely: B0 = Control (without manure), B1 = cow manure 10 t / ha (1.44 kg / m2), B2 = Chicken Manure 10 ton / ha (1.44 kg / m2), B3 = goat manure 10 t / ha (1.44 kg / m2), each treatment was repeated two (2) times are 32 experimental plots. Experimental plot consisted of 9 plants with 4 plant samples. Parameter sobserved in this study were plant height, stem diameter, number of leaves, the production cob with husks / samples, production cob with husks / plot, production cob without husks / samples, production cob without husks / plot, diameter corncob / sample, the number of lines cob / sample, weight of 100 seeds / plot. The results obtained from this study are: 1) The provision of various sources of biochar in the period of the second cropping effect no significant effect on growth and yield of corn black, 2) Providing a variety of sources of manure to the planting period the effect was not significant to the growth and yield of maize black, and 3) combination administration of various sources of biochar and various sources of manure on the second cropping period did not significantly affect the growth and production of corn black.
Description: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh residu dari berbagai sumber dan berbagai pupuk kandang terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman jagung hitam pada periode tanam kedua. Penelitian ini dilaksankan pada lokasi yang sama periode tanam pertama berada di Desa Sampali Kecamatan Percut Sei Tuan, Kabupaten Deli Serdang, Provinsi Sumatera Utara, dilaksanakan bulan Juli sampai dengan September 2019. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) Faktorial, dengan 2 (dua) faktor perlakuan, yakni : 1) Faktor perlakuan berbagai sumber biochar (B) terdiri dari 4 taraf, yaitu : B0 = Kontrol (tanpa menggunakan biochar), B1 = Biochar sekam padi 10 ton/ha (1,44 kg/m2), B2 = Biochar tongkol jagung 10 ton/ha (1,44 kg/m2), B3 = Biochar cangkang kemiri 10 ton/ha (1,44 kg/m2), 2) Faktor perlakuan berbagai pupuk kandang (K) terdiri dari 4 taraf, yaitu : B0 = Kontrol (tanpa pemberian pupuk kandang), B1 = Pupuk kandang sapi 10 ton/ha (1,44 kg/ m2), B2 = Pupuk kandang ayam 10 ton/ha (1,44 kg/ m2), B3 = Pupuk kandang kambing 10 ton/ha (1,44 kg/ m2), masing-masing perlakuan diulang sebanyak 2 (dua) kali terdapat 32 plot percobaan. Plot percobaan terdiri dari 9 tanaman dengan 4 tanaman sampel. Parameter yang diamati dalam penelitian ini adalah tinggi tanaman, diameter batang, jumlah daun, produksi tongkol dengan klobot/ sampel, produksi tongkol dengan klobot/ plot, produksi tongkol tanpa klobot/ sampel, produksi tongkol tanpa klobot/ plot, diameter tongkol jagung/ sampel, jumlah baris tongkol/ sampel, berat 100 biji/ plot. Adapun hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini yaitu : 1) Pemberian berbagai sumber biochar pada periode tanam kedua berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman jagung hitam, 2) Pemberian berbagai sumber pupuk kandang pada periode tanam kedua berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman jagung hitam, dan 3) Kombinasi pemberian berbagai sumber biochar dan berbagai sumber pupuk kandang pada periode tanam kedua tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman jagung hitam.
