Abstract: PT. Cahaya Castindo Hasanah Cemerlang is a manufacturing company engaged in the rock of fishing rod industry field. This study aimed to obtain a facility layout on the production section that has a minimum total displacement moment. Furthermore, the problem faced by the company is that the location of iron receiving impeded the process of the material moving from the printing area to the polishing area. The method used in this study was the BLOCPLAN (Block Layout Overview with Layout Planning) algorithm. Then, the analysis was conducted by comparing the total displacement moment between the initial layouts with the proposed layouts of the BLOCPLAN algorithm. The displacement moment on the initial layout was 134,106 meters per year. The result of this study obtained that the proposed layout using the BLOCPLAN algorithm was good to be used since it had a displacement moment of 41,013 meters per year. Thus, a total of the decrease in displacement moment of the material of the proposed facility layout on the production floor using the BLOCPLAN algorithm reached 362% compared to the initial one.
Description: PT. Cahaya Castindo Hasanah Cemerlang merupakan suatu perusahaan manufaktur yang bergerak di bidang industri batu pancing. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan tata letak fasilitas pada bagian produksi yang memiliki total momen perpindahan minimum. Permasalahan yang terdapat pada perusahaan ini adalah lokasi penerimaan besi menghambat proses pemindahan bahan dari area pencetakan ke area penghalusan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah algoritma BLOCPLAN (Block Layout Overview with Layout Planning). Analisa dilakukan dengan membandingkan total momen perpindahan antara tata letak awal dengan tata letak usulan algoritma BLOCPLAN. Momen perpindahan pada layout awal adalah 134.106 meter per tahun. Hasil dari penelitian didapat bahwa tata letak usulan dengan menggunakan algoritma BLOCPLAN baik digunakan karena memiliki momen perpindahan sebesar 41.013 meter per tahun. Besar penurunan momen perpindahan bahan tata letak fasilitas usulan pada lantai produksi dengan algoritma BLOCPLAN mencapai 362% dibandingkan tata letak awal.
