Abstract:  This study aims to look at The Correlation of Religiosity with Emotional Intelligence in Muslim students at SMA Negeri 1 Pantai Cermin. The subjects in this study were 173 Muslim students. The sampling technique uses proportionate stratified random sampling technique. Data is collected using two scales, namely the scale of Religiosity and Emotional Intelligence scale. Data analysis used correlation techniques (rxy) of 0.554 with p = 0.000 <0.050, meaning that there was a positive and significant relationship between religiosity and emotional intelligence in Muslim students, which showed that the higher the religiousity of Muslim students, the higher their emotional intelligence. Conversely, the lower the religiosity of Muslim students, the lower their emotional intelligence. Religiosity in this study in SMA Negeri 1 Pantai Cermin is positive / high because (mean empirical = 159.87> hypothetical mean = 137.5 where the difference exceeds the SD number = 12.075). And Emotional Intelligence is also classified as positive / high, because (empirical mean = 138.86> hypothetical mean = 122.5 where the difference exceeds the SD number = 10.144). The coefficient of determination of the correlation of r2 = 0.306 means that religiosity contributes effectively to emotional intelligence by 30.6%. And there are 69.4% of other factors that influence emotional intelligence that are not examined in this study. Other factors related to emotional intelligence such as family environment, nonfamily environment, and psychological. The results of this study are consistent with the results of research in the field.
Description: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan religiusitas dengan kecerdasan emosi pada siswa muslim di SMA Negeri 1 Pantai Cermin. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa muslim yang berjumlah 173 siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik proportionate stratified random sampling. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan dua skala, yaitu skala religiusitas dan skala kecerdasan emosi. Analisis data menggunakan teknik korelasi ( rxy ) sebesar 0,554 dengan p = 0,000 < 0,050, artinya terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara religiusitas dengan kecerdasan emosi pada siswa muslim, yang menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi religiusitas siswa muslim maka semakin tinggi kecerdasan emosinya. Sebaliknya semakin rendah religiusitas siswa muslim maka semakin rendah kecerdasan emosinya. Religiusitas dalam penelitian ini di SMA Negeri 1 Pantai Cermin tergolong positif/tinggi karena ( mean empirik = 159,87 > mean hipotetik = 137,5 dimana selisihnya melebihi bilangan SD = 12,075 ). Dan Kecerdasan Emosi juga tergolong positif/tinggi, karena ( mean empirik = 138,86 > mean hipotetik = 122,5 dimana selisihnya melebihi bilangan SD = 10,144 ). Adapun koefisien determinasi dari korelasi tersebut sebesar r2 = 0,306 artinya religiusitas memberikan sumbangan efektif terhadap kecerdasan emosi sebesar 30,6%. Dan terdapat 69,4 % dari faktor lain yang mempengaruhi kecerdasan emosi yang tidak diteliti dalam penelitian ini. Faktor-faktor lain yang berhubungan dengan kecerdasan emosi seperti lingkungan keluarga, lingkungan non keluarga, dan psikologis. Hasil penelitian ini sesuai dengan hasil penelitian di lapangan.
