dc.descriptionPenelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode explanatory. Seleksi merupakan usaha pertama yang harus dilakukan perusahaan untuk memperoleh karyawan yang kompeten. Proses seleksi pada PT. Indako Trading Co Krakatau Kota Medan belum sesuai dengan ketentuan yang ditetapkan. Misalnya pada seleksi administratif meliputi pemeriksaan pendidikan, penyeleksi tidak terlalu memperhatikan latar belakang pendidikan calon karyawan atau pelamar pada perusahaan ini. Perumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini yaitu bagaimana pengaruh proses seleksi terhadap kinerja karyawan dan pada PT. Indako Trading Co Krakatau Kota Medan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, proses seleksi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan pada PT. Indako Trading Co Krakatau Kota Medan. Dilihat dari hasil regresi sederhana, kontribusi seleksi terhadap kinerja sebesar 36,2% dari hasil uji F didapat F hitung sebesar 31,740 lebih besar dari F tabel (4,01) dan hasil uji T didapat T hitung sebesar 5,63 > T tabel (1,672) yang artinya proses seleksi berpengaruh terhadap kinerja karyawan.en_US
dc.description.abstractThis study is quantitative with explanatory method. Selection is the first attempt that must be made by the company to obtain competent employees. The selection process at PT. Indako Trading Co Krakatau Medan City is not in accordance with the stipulated provisions. For example, in administrative selection including examination of education, selectors not paying too much attention to the educational background of prospective employees or applicants at this company. The formulation of problem in this study is how the influence of the selection process on employee performance and at PT. Indako Trading Co Krakatau Medan City. Based on results of the study, the selection process has a positive and significant effect on the performance of employees at PT. Indako Trading Co Krakatau, Medan City. Judging from the results of a simple regression, the contribution of selection to performance is 36.2% from the results of the F test obtained F count of 31.740 greater than F table (4.01) and the results of the T test obtained by T count of 5.63 > T table (1.672) which means the process selection affects employee performance.en_US
